Part-time employment

I'm thinking about working part-time at either Disneyland or Walt Disney World someday. Does anyone know what the requirements are for part-time work? Like how many hours would you need at least? Is it possible to be a character part-time?

I think there is always room somewhere, but it depends on what you want. Are you still going to school or graduated. My guess would be if you did part time work, it would probably be something you might not like doing. Then again you could get lucky. I'm not sure about being a charater part time. Again I would guess they would want you there for a full day, but then again, if you in a costume, it's usually a short shift so you don't die of heat exhaustion. You could always google "disney jobs/employment". If you wanted to do the college program and possibly get college credit, you can go to www.wdwcollegeprogram.com.

I'm out of college. I just thought it would be something fun to do on the side.

Do you have the phone number for Disney Employment? I hear they are doing phone interviews these days, but I'm not sure if that's for the college program or not. I don't have that number off the top of my head buy I might be able to find it.

Part Time

Part time is 2 days a week. Yes to part time ANYTHING. Disney LOVES their part time work force. Entertainment hires part time, yes. Or you could go seasonal and only need to work a few days a year (but have the option of working more). 407-828-1000. And if you call you can tell them you were reffered by me! PM me for my name.

That's good to know! Is it two full days? Not sure if I can do two full ones, maybe one day and a few hours on another day. I plan on having an actual full-time job with something else. What are the requirements for seasonal? I won't be doing this just yet, but hopefully in the near future.

Short shifts?? Our shifts are usually nine or ten hours, many times more than that.

Right now I have full availability. But when I was working only 2 days a week, I would usually work 7, 8, 9 hour shifts. Sometimes longer shifts if I picked up parade or not.

Do yourself a favor and call 407-828-1000 and ask them about Seasonal Character Performers. This will answer ANY and ALL questions you have.

Do they have an e-mail address I can use as well?
