We are driving in from the Orlando area with our own vehicle, and was wondering what style of parking there is. Is it like parking deck style where you take a ticket from an automated machine, or is there someone at a booth to check you reservation and take your parking fee. Thanks for any help.

I have never parked there, but judging from below, it is an outdoor lot (Disney is Teminal 8) and a booth, seeing as you pay when you enter.

Parking at Your Cruise Terminal

Parking at Port Canaveral's cruise terminals is paved, gated and under 24-hour surveillance. Passengers at Cruise Terminal 10 can choose between an outdoor parking area and a six-level parking garage. Parking Fees

$15/night for vehicles up to 20 feet in length
$26/night for vehicles over 20 feet
The total fee for the time the vehicle will be parked is due on entry. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard and Traveler's Checks issued in U.S. dollars.

They have a new parking garage for the Disney Cruise line. They were still putting the finishing touches on it when I parked there at the end of last month and parking was free for travel agents but it looks like it is set up for the typical take a ticket pay when you leave arrangement.

I parked there for a different cruise line. It's outdoors, with a booth. You get a ticket and pay on the way out.

Don't panic when you see the line to park! It's very well organized. I was directed to a bay where I dropped off my checked bag, then was directed to the parking lot. Someone I know was behind me, and she went directly to park - we walked to the ship together, as I arrived within a minute of her parking.

The whole procedure, including walking back to the ship, took less than 5 minutes. Boarding was a different story, but perhaps Disney has a better system.

Yoda has much better info about the parking itself. But my statement that it looks like a madhouse as you drive up, but is quickly sorted out, still stands.
