I'm a photographer and have some meetings in orlando in august, and on my last day I get out around noon so I wanted to take a trip over to disney and take some pictures of the resorts, more specifically the monorail resorts.. Is there any way to get around the parking situation? I dont want to pay $11 to park for about an hour and a half or so, and I heard that you can park at the boardwalk for free. I'd much rather park there than dtd, but I wanted to know if anyone knew of some other ways to go around this? if you feel it might not be right talking about it openly on the thread just pm me.. thank you

Just go to the resort you want to check out and tell them what you want to do. They will give you a three hour parking pass.

Since the Boardwalk is an entertainment, dining and shopping area there is no charge for parking. You just tell the guard at the gate that you are there to check things out and you will be directed to the lot.
You can also go to a resort and say you would like to look around and check things out. You should be given a time limited parking pass.

There's a parking lot across the street from the Boardwalk, and that's where most people who are not actually staying at the Boardwalk have to park. It's a little bit more of a walk, but it's not too bad.
