Parking at Resorts Question

We booked our trip for Thanksgiving In March a week prior to the cutoff date to receive free parking. My question is this? If I make changes to the package, will I still qualify for the free parking.

For Example:

I have 10 days at Caribbean Beach hotel, if we decide to tweak that and stay five days at Caribbean and change the last part of the trip to Saratoga Springs, do I still qualify? I can see both ways. I can see being told that we changed our original reservation and to do that they had to create a new reservation for the Saratoga part, but my other thought is that we are allowed to change reservations up to 30 days out, so It should revert back to the original booking date?

I know the parking is new, anyone had an experience like this yet?

Don't know the answer to your question. I would call WDW reservations and get the answer directly from the mouse rather than get unintended misinformation from a poster

I originally booked before the last ticket price hike but changed my reservation to include free dining after the price hike. Adding free dining caused my package price to go up by about $70 because of the ticket price change, changing my reservation caused me to no longer be grandfathered in to the lower priced tickets. If I were to guess I would think the parking fees would work the same way.

I would think you will lose the free parking after making the changes

You'll definitely have to pay for the Saratoga Springs part. Not sure what would happen to the first days at CBR.

Once you modify your reservation you will be charged for parking for both portions of your stay.

So I just got off the phone with them, they said there would be NO parking charges because I booked prior to the date, even with modifications, they default to the original booking date, just fyi for everyone

Kingdom Konsultants told me that adding free dining to my reservation would not cause me to incur parking fees because my reservation number stayed the same so I was still grandfathered in on the free parking.

I can also confirm that Disney reservations told us that you will be grandfathered into free parking as long as you change your reservation over the phone. For us the changes will be when the room only discounts come out.
