Parking at Ft Wilderness Campground?

Hey all,

Anyone know if you can park a car by a log cabin at Ft Wilderness? Or do you have to park in a main lot by the general store and then bus over to your cabin.

I stayed at a cabin in 1997, but I didn't have a car. Transport to and from our cabin was a bit much after a long day at the parks. We're going down in April and my family wants to stay at a log cabin, but this time I'll have a rental car. A friend told me that you can't park your car by your cabin.

I can't remember from the last trip if there were cars parked or not. Guess the mind is starting to go! :hammer:

Any help is appreciated!!

You can park one car at your cabin. Once in Fort Wilderness you can not drive your car around the resort. You must use the Disney buses to get around or rent a golf cart to get around Fort Wilderness.

Thanks for the replies.

But what does it mean that I can't drive my car once I'm in the resort? Does that mean I can only use it to go in and out of the resort and I have to use bus service within the resort area?

If that's the case, that's cool with me. I only planned on using the car as little as possible.

Heading for the great escape.
You can also walk, plenty of shady paths that provide opportunity to see non animatronic critters.

Just watch out for the morons who let the kids drive the golf buggies
