Parking at a resort with an ADR

I mostly know the answer to this as it has been mostly asked before. We have ADRs at Ohana for breakfast. I know they will let us park at the Poly for the breakfast but we planned on just hopping on the monorail to MK for the rest of the day. If we leave the car at the Poly for the day are we asking for trouble? I know we could probably park at the TTC and walk over to the Poly for breakfast but wasn't sure if I could just park the car at the Poly all day.

I would just ask the front desk at the resort or the concierge. We asked last time after we had a meal at ohana for breakfast, and we asked if it was ok an we got the thumbs up. However I will say we always go when it isn't very busy (beginning of may) so just ask and you can get an answer when u arrive, I wouldn't ask the guys at the gate, bu ask once your inside...

We have done this a few times (we only drove once and only had a rental car a few other times), but we just asked the guard at the check in (we did so at GF when we ate a 1900 PF, CM at Contemp, and Ohana at Poly) and we were alwyas told it was not a problem. For the GF we were directed to the self park across the street and at Contemp we were told to park in the lot to the left of the entrance. Cant recall at the Poly? Again, no issues at any resort. We didnt park there all day, however. Just until lunch time. We ate early breakfast each time.

Rules are clear, you cannot park at the poly or other monorail resort and then go to MK. If you have SDR or want to visit the resort they will give you a 3 hour pass.

The reports over the last year is that at busy times (which is most of the time now) Disney has been towing some cars.

I've never had a problem eating a meal at a resort and then leaving the car there to go to a park. Just did it this weekend at the boardwalk. Not sure about poly if there is construction.

Parking at Poly and then going to MK until lunch is cool, then leaving and parking back at TTC later is kosher, but leaving the car the whole day at Poly...I don't know...bad Disney karma...

I think it really depends on the crowd when you go. Peak times I'm sure they do give out 3 hour passes, bu I have never gotten one at any resort during the first 2 weeks of May. Just ask the front desk, the worst they could say is no.

Park at the TTC. It's like ten steps through a landscaped path and you are on the Poly grounds. Tat way, no question about whether or not you can park there and you can still monorail over to the MK. :)

TTC is the answer. I did it last fall. Breakfast is early enough that you just walk to the resort then hop on the monorail when you are done. Then there is no question about your car being ok.

Honestly I don't think they monitor parking that much at all. I know of people that say they are going to Chef Mickey's for breakfast to avoid paying for parking and then park in the Magic Kingdom parking lot all day.
I have gone to Chef Mickey's several times in the past. I have arrived early to walk over to MK entrance to pick up our tickets for our trip and have never been told anything. I have never mentioned it to the guard that we are going to get our tickets first and have walked by them guard house many times. Never have they said anything.

They do monitor parking and will tow if needed. Here's the thing. The Poly's lot is very small and not designed to accommodate all the people who want to park there who aren't staying there. The resort's own guests really have no other choice of where to park but others do. I hope you never have to experience coming back to your home resort and not finding a place to park. I have and it is awful. Give those people staying there the same respect you'd expect at your home resort and don't park there all day.

They pretty much know if you're a resort guest or not.:(
I agree w/ luv. Park @ TTC, and it's a very nice walk over to the POLY. Then you can take monorail over to MK.:)
