hey all,

MY DH & I joined AAA, weeks ago & for many reasons, but the meaing for this post is that I called them today to find out how much park tickets were thru them. they gave me the amount and then looking at the Disney site on the $ amount for the ticket, i then called member srvces and basically all I am getting is the difference in the tax. I live in VA and my tax is 5% & in FL the tax is 7% on tickets ( on room the tax is 13%). Any way I guess I just wanted to see what others experiances was as trying to get discount on park ticket was.

oh also if you do purchase thru AAA and once you have your KTTW did you have any problems with them linking the tickets with the card.

The bigger discount is when you book the room through AAA. When I did that a couple years ago, I saved a few hundred dollars over what it would have been if I book through Disney itself. Also, my DW hates the busses, so we drive from hotel to park and the AAA diamond parking pass works awesome, so make sure you bring that with you.

Once you check in, the front desk or consierge should be able to link the tickets with your KTTW. Just wondering, why didn't you book your hotel through AAA too?

We bought them online through AAA last year. We paid exactly the same as if we bought online through Disney. The only difference was that we got one of the Diamond Parking Passes, which lets you park close to the gates at the parks.

I guess if you bought your tickets at the office you would save the difference in tax (any savings is worthwhile), I'd ask about the parking pass too.

We didn't link the tickets to our keys, just kept them separate.

To get a AAA discount on your room you don't have to book with AAA, you can call Disney reservations and ask if they have a AAA discount available.

On tickets alone...I don't think there is any discount between buying the tickets trought Disney or AAA. For the CT AAA, when you buy online they link you to the Disney ticket site and then you can pick up the tickets at the local AAA office.

I am looking to buy tickets, but I have $500 in Disney reward dollars that I want to use them on so I have to see if I can still buy from Disney using them, and then pick up at AAA and get my diamond parking pass.

We are DVC members, so our accomadations are through that.

ok, here is what I need.

Transporation- taking the auto train from VA to Sanford, Fl then we can drive to the resort. We will use our AAA for that. but only like a $36.00 savings.

Park tickets- again was looking to AAA for that.

Food- some days will eat & parks or resorts, some days will eat at villa, so undecided as far as the DDP.

Every park has a special parking area, diamond parking. At the MK, if you are on the tram heading towards the TTC and just before you go under the road, there is parking on the right side. The first section is handicapped the second section over is the diamond parking. At Epcot it is all the way in the front parking area, to the left of SSE, if you are looking at SSE from the parking lot. At DHS, it is in front of the bus drop off area. At AK, it is off to the left if you are looking at the parking lot from the enterance of the park. All diamond parking locations are very very close to the enterance, so no need to take a tram. The directions to the diamond parking is usually well marked going into the parking lots.
