Okay I have all my stuff set (Flight,Room..etc)..Except purchasing my park tickets...My questions are....

If I call the Reservation line will I be able to add my ticket to my room so it goes on my room key?

And Since I'm just purchasing the ticket will I be charged more since I'd like it on my room key or the same price for a seperate ticket?

I'd appreaciate the help! Thanks:wave:

If you call Disney to add tickets to your room, that will change your room reservation to a MYW package. A package has an assortment of different rules and restrictions when it comes to making changes or cancelling, and when your balance is due. (Packages must be paid in full 45 days prior to arrival; room only reservations can be paid upon check in.)

The easiest thing to do would be to purchase your tickets from your resort concierge when you arrive, then ask them to code the tickets on to your room key. You could also buy them online, but the first option is probably the easiest.

Oh, and the price is the same regardless of which method you choose to buy them.

You can usually purchase tickets without having to convert a room-only booking into a package. They link the ticket purchase to your reservation, and you pick it all up upon check-in. (And if not, then Lobby Concierge would be able to handle the tickets)

Another option would be to purchase discounted tickets through an authorized reseller, and then after you check in, you can ask the Lobby Concierge desk to encode the ticket onto your room key.

This is not accurate. Been there, done that ... even though it doesn't make logical sense, it is completely true that you can reserve tickets as part of a room-only reservation. This does not automatically turn it into a package, which would thus change the payment and cencellation terms, etc.

Like I said, been there, done that. WHen the CM on the phone asked if I wanted to add tickets, I told her no because I didn't want to make it a package. She said it doesn't have to be, and then BOOM, they were part of my room-only reservation.

And to the OP ...

Even if you buy your tickets separately, and even if you by them from an authorized wholesaler and physically bring them with you in your travels from home, if you give them to the front desk they can code the tickets onto your KTTW card.

Eric,
Maybe this is a dumb question, but if you already have your park tickets why would you need to hand them to the CM at check-in? Is it so you can use your key card for entry to the parks instead of using your park ticket? Sorry, this nov. will be the first time we've stayed onsite since '93. Thanks.

You only need to provide the tickets if you want them put on your KTTW card. If you would rather have the ticket separate from your room key/hotel charge, then there is no need to give them to the desk.
There are pluses to each. Having your tickets on your KTTW card means you only need to carry around 1 thing with you. However, it also means that if you send 1 person to get fast passes for the whole group, you cannot charge anything in the meantime. (Or eat if you have the dining plan)
It is up to you which way to go.
