I forgot about this one, there's also The Magic of Disney's Animal Kingdom. My wife and I liked the first few episodes, but it unfortunately then fell into the same annoying pattern of every other American zoo doc. It quickly moved from primarily focusing on the low key day-to-day operations of caring for the animals and some of the unique challenges the zoo keepers need to problem-solve (like most European and Australian zoo docs I've seen), to a more high-drama, high-stakes veterinary medicine show. If you're an animal lover, you really don't want to watch a show that almost always involves a severe illness or death of one of the animals.
