I wish I wish ( closing my eyes ) that children wouldn't grow up as quick as they do.Last night I watched our first vacation DVD in 2004. My DS was then just 6 years old and very small( he's now 15 years and 5ft 11" ) But he was picked out in the front row of " Festival of the Lion King " So there he was, bold as brass, doing the lion roar on the floor. He's now that shy its unbelievable. Anyway,it remains one of our favourite memories at WDW.Now when we were at The Lion King last year in AK,he made sure we were sitting wayyyy back from the stage. What are your favourite memories from the parks.? :)

Our last family trip has the best memories in 2012. We have been going since my youngest was 6, he is now 22. A couple of thing s happened that were just great. 1st, we were in HS and walking toward The Backlot Tour. I walked a little faster and got there first. I walked right up to the CM and said, just as the rest of my family arrived, "I hav three volenteers for the next show." My wife and two boys that is, not me. They were surprised and the CM wouldn't take no for an answer. They were in the next show. I laughed all day about that. Later in our trip we were in EPCOT waiting for the Holy Grail show at GB. I never get picked so I wasn't worried about it. I got picked as King Arthur. They laughed all day about that. It was one of our favorite trips and probaly the last we will do as a family.

There are so many it's hard to pick one!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2008 my youngest was in the parade durring SWW and he was the only child in the Character Spot in EPCOT so he got some group shots whith all the characters at once and the individual ones also!! But the most amazing ones were from 2011 we were having the best overall trip yet when on Father's Day my ds was the first boy on line to meet Rapunzel and Flynn and a manager came over and announced that Rapunzel's hair braiders over slept and she would be late and maybe Flynn would be the only one coming out for quite a while! That's when my ds said thats ok Flynn is really cool and I'll wait for him! Next thing you know he was giving the smolder to one of the female cm, and she went for a walk and came back with a manager who took us back to FL to meet Flynn! My ds and Flynn started walking over to the Sword in the Stone (thank God my camera was out) my ds got to pull it out!! Later that day we had his birthday lunch at CP and a cm and Pooh came to our table and had him lead the conga line. Best day ever but every trip is special in it's own way!

Our First Trip!! My oldest was 2 and we got to Epcot at like 1pm on our first day. She was timid on nemo and didn't know what to make of crush. But when we sat down at dinner at akershus she was absolutely stunned. "Cinderella I'm dressed like you!" It was so cute and ill never forget her face. Snow White also kissed my son on the forehead. We were the first table out of their entrance so the red lips stayed on his face until we got back to our room. We walked through the park and you could hear knowing people say "looks like Snow White got him". We've been hooked ever since.

First trip in 2009 DD was only 4 (almost 5). We didn't get to meet Mickey until our last day. We waited in line over an hour and when she finally saw him, she sighed like this was what she had been waiting for, then hugged him and wouldn't let go. It was so worth the trip, the wait, everything!
Thats it,reaching for the Kleenex!:(

In my trip in December, I was watching the Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade and the float with my favorite characters Alice, Mad Hatter, Peter Pan, and Wendy came and Mad Hatter saw me and noticed I was wearing an Alice shirt so he got Alice and pointed to me and she got all excited because she remembered me from gettin my picture made with her earlier. Peter and Wendy got confused from their freaking out so Peter pointed to me and was like "her?" Then Wendy waved to me, and Alice blew me a goodbye kiss. I was so happy about it for the rest of the trip!

Also, when I was four years old, I was watching Tapestry and I saw the Diskman puppet and I called him Noodle Man because I thought his hair looked like noodles! :)

So many great memories, but the greatest were made on our last trip when we brought our son for the first time. He was only ten months at the time, but watching his reaction to everything brought a lot of joy to us. Just seeing the big smile on his face when we took him on attractions like Monsters Inc,Disney Junior,COP, Dumbo, and the People Mover. Watching him get his first haircut on Main Street and just holding him during the parades and fireworks. Plus he learned to clap that trip. So many great memories.

I've had a lot of them beginning with my first trip and the feeling that I got just driving on the property back in 1983. I had no real preconceived ideas of what it would be like, but remember I spent the majority of my life sequestered in Vermont. Not much exciting happens there, or at least didn't back then. It was our first family trip and we had driven down from home and this was our initial introduction. To tell you how little it took to amaze me, it was the idea that I could tune into the radio and they would tell me where I was (zoned), then the organization at the parking lot, the tram ride with a very comical host, the Monorail and since it was February, the fact that they had palm trees, no snow and warm weather.

BUT, that wasn't my best memory. I had promised myself that since all our trips were very, very budgeted, that one day I would be able to splurge a little. In 2008 I treated my daughters, their husbands, my grandchildren to a trip to WDW. My Sister and Nephew also were with us. I rented a 6 bedroom villa just outside the gate and we all toured the parks together. We went to all four parks and had a wonderful time. Even though there was one huge problem and that was that the head gaskets blew on my car while there and it cost me $3500.00 just to get it out of car prison and get back home.

My favorite memory was my dad and daughter (his last trip, her first trip) at a hat station in AK. They stood there, putting on every hat and giggling in the mirror at each other. She had just turned 2 two months earlier. They must have played there for about 10 minutes. I have a great picture somewhere with the two of them wearing the Mad Hatter hat.

The other memory was the first time she ran up to a character on her own Day 3 of that trip. It was Minnie and Daisy at DHS. They were out by the hat. My daughter waited her turn started walking cautiously on her own to them, Minnie and Daisy knelt down to get to her level. My daughter bolts off running right past Minnie and leaps into Daisy's arms. Daisy wasn't expecting it and almost got knocked over. They hugged for at least 5 minutes (I am not joking). People in line didn't care one bit either. I finally got her to let go and she took her pictures with them all by herself.

My favorite memory to date is when we took our Russian exchange student. The only "theme" park she had ever been to had one ride, basically Dumbo that went half the speed. We bought her a season pass, took her and she couldn't believe how magical everything. Not to mention she LOVED LOVED LOVED fireworks, she literally told me, "nobody can launch fireworks, like Russians shoot fireworks". Disney proved her wrong especially after we took her to the New Years Eve show.

I have many new memories ahead of me though. My wife and I are having a baby in June, and I'm so excited to take her!!
