Park Hopping?

I can't imagine doing Disney without park hopping. It's part of the vacation just as much as staying on property and making sure I eat at least 1 Mickey Premium Bar. I like taking the monorail from MK to Epcot, the boat from Epcot to HS, taking in Wishes after spending a day in HS and need to have some options after the short day at Animal Kingdom.

No one in my family would even consider a non-park hopping ticket. We have had discussions before wondering who buys the regular tickets and assumed they just didn't know enough about Disney to know they could park hop.

It's just tough to imagine on a 10 day vacation having to pick only one park each day. Especially since we often do a mid-day lunch back at out resort and save our breakfasts and dinners for the parks. I can't imagine knowing that we have to go back to the same park at night as we did in the morning.

Just because I REALLY wanted to do Soarin in the morning doesn't mean I shouldn't get to do ToT at night. Park hopping is perfect for my "attraction cravings"

We like to take our time and relax, and we haven't done the park hopper in years. Last time we did it, it was just too stressful! Its a great option though, esp. for (IMO) people who aren't there that long and are trying to soak as much as they can in. But for us (God willing!) we know we will be back, so it tends to be a slower pace for us.

I have always took the hopper option. Like others mentionned it, I often visit 2 parks a day, depending on where my dining reservations are made. I think it ads freedom to your vacation. Yes you can organize your trip, but with park hopper you can still go with the flow as you get there (ride closure, weather, crowds...)

I definitely agree with this. Hopping gives you more flexibility with EMH and dining. For me allows me to be more organized while still using the flexibility to my advantage.

We love Park Hopping! We get to a park in the morning right at opening, stay through lunch and a little after, then when we are all getting tired and sweaty we go back to the hotel for a refresher, then out to a different park for dinner until closing. I personally like this system because I feel like I need to get out of a park if I am getting frustrated with crowds or lines. The only exception is that we normally go all day at the MK on our last day and hit all of our favorite rides and see all the parades and shows.

The first four days of our trip we stay the entire day at each park. Then the rest of our trip we will plan to split days up with park hopping to meet dining reservations, get away from heavy crowd situations, hit rides or events we want to do or just to break up the day. So glad that option is available to use.

I sometimes iHop in the morning. ;)

Mostly I parkhop from DAK to another park for the evening. Usually DHS. I consider not getting hopper option next trip. I might as well plan a bit better and spend DAK evenings in DTD or pool lounging.

I love to immerse myself in a park, to spend a full day there. I feel more emotionally connected with a park if I do everything in a day in just that park, from excited arrival early in the day, to slogging along in the blistering heat in midday, to defying the afternoon thunderstorm, eating dinner, and watching the evening show.
This way I can be Zen, at one with the park. :lookaroun

We prefer to freestyle which includes park hopping. We have found hopping to be great for the half day parks but will usually do MK or Epcot all day. It is hard to use park hopping to its' fullest though with the need for ADR's. In any case I do like not being tied down to one park if the mood strikes us for a change.

We need time for things to happen.
Can't imagine NOT park hopping.
2 parks everyday every year.

I can't imagine being locked into the park we were eating at everyday.

The first couple of years we went to WDW the majority of our meals were in Epcot I can't imagine what would happen if we didn't have a park hopper pass.
As much as I love Epcot, I couldn't see spending 75 percent of my vacation
there...;)

This is how I feel as well. On our recent March trip we added a park hopper for the first time in a long time. I enjoyed the flexibility of it for dining, and could see how it would be a great option for bad weather days (we were fortunate to have perfect weather this trip), but I found that I missed the connection I had with the parks when I was running here and there constantly. It became more about checking off must sees and not absorbing the experience. I find that when I spend a whole day in the park I take in more of the atmosphere and take the time to go off the schedule a little and enjoy the details. I love watching the nighttime fireworks in a park and re-living the experiences from the day in that park. Maybe this goes back to the Fantasy in the Sky days and how that show featured each land of the MK. As the music for each land played it would bring back memories of the day's touring. It is fun to change it up now and again, but I think I enjoy being immersed in one park each day the best.

Being an AP for years I grew accustomed to park hopping. It's very rare that I'd choose to stay at a park all day. I feel like I'm able to do more in a day by park hopping and utilizing emh's and fastpass. Interested to see how this will change with all the proposed changes.

In the early days of Epcot, I visited MK and Epcot on one day (the term, "Park Hopping" hadn't been coined yet). Since that one time, I've never wanted to Park Hop. If I can't do what I want to do in one park at a time, I'm not interested. Maybe if WDW ever got monorail connections between all 4 parks I would consider it but since that's not likely to happen, I'll stay put.

I actually was thinking one day whether or not it was worth us getting the park hopper option every time we have been and the answer I kept coming back to was a resounding YES! We always go for 10 days and although we usually spend a couple of full days in MK and Epcot, there are those days when we go to AK or DHS or one of the water parks and find that we are looking for something to do after dinner those days. We will either hop on a bus and head to Downtown Disney to do some shopping or hop on a bus and head to MK or Epcot to watch their respective nighttime shows or ride some of our favourite rides or ones we maybe missed earlier in the trip.

The more I think about it, the more I realize how much we actually DO love having the park hopper option! :sohappy:
