Park hopping, stumped.

I know this seems silly, but when you park hop, do you make sure you don't visit the same parks back to back? For example if one day you hit the Studios then Epcot at night, do you avoid Epcot the next morning? I'm trying to figure out a plan, and I'm having a hard time not doing that.

That's the beauty of the Park Hopper Pass, you can hit as many parks as you choose in a single day and throughout your stay. It could be somewhat inefficient but still possible. You could park at MK, go for the morning, then head to Epcot for the afternoon, then back to MK for the evening since you parked there and then do the same thing with MK and AK the very next day. Just keep in mind, you lose Park time for Travel time, but it could also be seen as downtime from a lot of walking.

Yes
Depends on what we're doing, where we're dining, and what shows we want to see. We've done AK in the morning for EMH for the safari, hopped to HS for lunch at the Derby, MK for afternoon 7D, then back to HS for dinner and Fantasmic. Next day HS for ripe drop for Midway Madness a few times before general admission gets in.

I love park hopping at DL since they are walking distance but I am so crazy about them at WDW ( unless it's a really short trip). Sometimes I feel like you lose more time on the bus and at the bus stops than it's worth. You can go to any park any time any day with park hoppers :). Have fun!

Ditto! We got to where we were so stressed about missing dining reservations that we were leaving up to 2 hours prior (exit the park, wait for a bus, drive to new park, get into to park, walk to restaurant). This year we are cutting the Disney transportation out of it and are renting a car so we can drive directly there (found it was quicker when we did this).

Yep! That's what we did this year. It is so much easier to drive from the parks to the hotel you are dining at!

The Park Hopper is kind of a funny thing to me. I suppose we've reached the point where we enjoy our time at a park and then go relax at the resort in the late afternoon. Wish I could be bothered going back out to a park after having a few bevs at the pool .. Lol.

I hopped from DHS to Epcot (WS) one day. The next day from Epcot (FL) to MK, the following from MK to AK and the next day from MK to Epcot. If you want to know a reason why all I can say is... because I wanted to. There was no magical reason other then that is where I wanted to be on those days. I get bored with one park during a single day. I like to experience all of them in the morning and again in the evening, but, I stagger them. It all hinges on what you feel like doing.

I don't like to get the hopper, but we usually do.. (I am in the camp that with a little planning, you don't need to spend the extra $$, and it can use up a lot of valuable park time traveling between parks on Disney Transport), but it turned out to be pretty handy on our last trip.. we had dinner 2 different nights at Yacht Club and Beach Club, and not on EPCOT days.. but it made it easy to get back, just walking through the International gateway to the front of EPCOT to catch the bus back to our resort.

We always get the PH and use it a lot. I schedule my morning park using the crowd calendars, which are helpful in deciding which parks are less likely to be crowded. Then hop usually late afternoon. I never PH to a park I've visited the day before. I like to experience a different park rotating through my time at Disney. It seems to make it feel like every day is unique. The only time I'll go back to back is if a dining reservation was made to a place I really wanted to eat at.

I plan on which park I'm going to first....we figure out what park, if any, we want to park hop to each day as that day goes on.

Use the hopper in any way that works for you.

On our last trip we did DHS->Epcot->MK->Epcot->DHS all in one day.
It is certainly your vacation, with your choice on how to spend it, but I don't understand the thinking behind this. Even if you time everything just right once you arrive at DHS, and I'm guessing you are driving since you wind up the day there as well, once you leave DHS, it is about 15-20 over to Epcot via boat or walking. Then figure another 15-20 depending on wait times for the monorial to MK, same thing back to Epcot, and again back to DHS. So, 60 to 80 minutes of this day, not counting arrival and departure times at DHS from and back to your room seems like a lot of travel time. That is time we use either at the one park per day we go to, or resort and pool time, which, for us is way more important than travel time between multiple parks.
Again, your vacation and your time and if it makes you happy, then I am happy for you. It is just not sometime we have any desire to do.

We were staying at the Dolphin, went to DHS in the morning to hit a few things, back to Epcot for lunch at the Food and Wine festival, over to MK to ride the monorail and another reason I can't remember at this point, back to Epcot for dinner at Food and Wine, and finally back to DHS for Fantasmic which ended up being canceled due to rain. Understand this is the exception to how we do things, not the rule.
