Any estimates on how long the Epcot->MK Monorail journey would take at that time of day, figuring in pre-rope-drop crowds?
I'd guess around 30-35 minutes including bag check.

The crowds aren't really an issue, especially with the new bag check system as I understand it. It's not a stretch that a family might have a monorail car to themselves at that time and going in that direction.Any estimates on how long the Epcot->MK Monorail journey would take at that time of day, figuring in pre-rope-drop crowds?
The monorail ride from Epcot to MK including the transfer at the TTC is 43 minutes.Any estimates on how long the Epcot->MK Monorail journey would take at that time of day, figuring in pre-rope-drop crowds?
Nobody is suggesting the two best options.
Option 1: Park at Epcot in the morning, then monorail to the Magic Kingdom for rope drop. Then your car will be waiting for you when you're done at Epcot that night.
Option 2: Skip driving and just rely on Disney transportation that day. Even when I have a car (about half the time), I prefer taking the bus on Magic Kingdom days due to the hassle of the TTC.
They don't run buses from EPCOT to AK first thing in the morning. I don't believe the park to park starts until after 10am.Does option 1 work between Animal Kingdom and Epcot? We plan on going to Animal Kingdom in the morning for rope drop and then dinner at Epcot. I am staying of resort if that matters. I guess my only concern is if the busses are running early enough to park at epcot and still get to animal kingdom for rope drop to ride the safari first thing without a fastpass.
I agree about not driving to MK. It is the only park I do not like driving to. The rest are not bad at all but with the TTC that just adds so much time and not worth it to me.Nobody is suggesting the two best options.
