Park Hoppers vs. just doing one park at day?

What's the best option for an energetic 20 something couple? Park Hoppers cost a little more and we want to know if its worth it or will there be enough to see in each individual park to keep us busy most of the day. We plan to wake up around 9ish, eat breakfast at the hotel, get on the busses afterwards and stay til closing time. We might come back to the hotel for lunch around 2PM and then go back to the parks afterwards if we think the hotel restaurants have better food.

We actually just made reservations at POP Century and bought the 10 day park hopper and more options. They aren't that much more than a base ticket and if we're going to go that far for two weeks, we might as well have a lot more flexibility and options.
Best plan!!! Have fun!!

If you go that often could it not be worth getting the premier annual pass, I know it's $1000 but it covers Disneyland and all WDW parks and other benefits (including Water parks, free Golf, free parking, shopping discounts etc ) you would also get annual pass discounts on accommodation.

I already have an annual pass to DLR because I go so often. We didn't plan the WDW until this past week. I have almost month between the time my summer job ends and college resumes and my bf has 2 weeks paid vacation time so we knew we'd make our first big trip together this September but we were planning on Hawaii at first. It was only last weekend that I sold him on checking out WDW and only last nite that we made the actual reservations. :).

Awesome! Definitely hit up the water parks, I think you guys will enjoy them, especially Typhoon Lagoon. We'll be at Pop for 2 weeks in September, too ;)

How much of a Disney veteran are you? If you haven't been to Disney before or you've been once or twice I'd say skip it. There is a lot for you to see and do in each park. If you're Disney veterans then by all means. We've been to Disney a few dozen times, so I will pass on certain things. I don't care for the Tiki Room, Pooh and Grand Prix at the Magic Kingdom for example. At Animal Kingdom as long as I do Expedition Everest and Kilimanjaroo Safari, I'm good. If I can throw in Dinosaur and Khali it's summer, then it's gravy. I can head over to MGM and ride Rocking Rollercoaster, Tower of Terror and Star Tours and Toy Story Mania I'm good. I can typically combine both of those in one day. If we arrived late to MGM we might have had to sacrifice Toy Story, but since we know we'll be back in a few months it's not a deal breaker for us. During slower times we can even combine MK and Epcot because we'll get fast passes for Soarin' in the evening and walk World Showcase which tends to be open later than Future World.
One piece of advice I would give you is not to get up around 9ish. Get up earlier and be at the parks for rope drop which is typically 9am. You'll get much more done as the park is still pretty empty. It is especially helpful at Magic Kingdom. If you want to be ambitious and get the most of this trip, you'll need to get there earlier.

Veterans at DL but first timers at WDW. We will be there for two weeks our game plan is this: Day 1: Epcot
Day 2: Magic Kingdom Day 3: Hollywood Studies: Day 4: Animal Kingdom (as long as it doesn't look like it's gonna rain a lot that day). Do all the attractions at each park that day. After that, we'll kind of play it by ear to see which parks we want to go back to and probably utilize the park hopper and use some of your advice to hop between parks/rides/use fast passes. We will have a few really nice dinners at the Epcot so maybe we can go to the water park in the day and come back to Epcot for dinner. During the second week, we plan on spending 2 days at Universal, 1 at KSC, and also checking out Coco Beach for sure and possibly Clearwater. We will have 14 full days in Florida so I'm pretty optimistic on getting a lot done and still having time to relax. I am being too ambitious?

We have Toy Story, ToT and Star tours at DLR too so curious to see what the differences and similarities are. My bf and I are both not normally morning people although I have been getting up before 6AM every morning for my summer job. We will also be on California time for the first couple of days but we'll try to get up earlier if we think that we need more time

We will arrive on the early morning of September 8 (red eye flight) and leave the morning of the 21st. What about you?
