ok, so me and my parents are headin off for WDW next year for three weeks, and we're also goin to Paris (the city) for 4 days a week on tuesday...
We are still in two minds whther to go to DLP or not, incase we kinda dont get as much of a "buzz" when we go to WDW next year..
is it worth goin...and if we do decide to go, tips on anything?

Phew... make it a long day! IMHO, Disneyland Parc first - SM:M2 usually has the biggest queue. Then over to the otherside and do BTM. Get a fast pass for Indy or PotC and do the other. Then Phantom Manor (before the queues build.) Its a Small World is great too, not usually to much of a queue (loads fast)

Then the studios; RocknRollercoaster, Armageddon (queue dependant), save Moteurs Action! for WDW since you don`t have much time, and if you time it right don`t miss Cinemagique. If you like dark rides, the 3 in Fantasyland are excellent ones but do get very popular so you may take this into consideration (PeterPansFlight has fast fass though)

To sum it up; Phantom Manor, PotC, BTM, IASW and SM are Disney at its best. If you only do one park I`d reluctantly miss the studios out and do as much of Disneyland Parc as possible. Honey I shrunk... and Star Tours are identical to WDW. Make sure you take some time to look in the stores (the theming and decor is amazing) and try your best to see a showing of Legend of the Lion King - an absolute stunner of a stage show. Tickets are free, first come first served, around 11am in a queue next to Discoveryland Rail Stations entrance - double check that time though, and make sure you get an English show.

Finally, beg borrow or yell to stay for Fantillusion... I won`t spoil it. Just don`t miss it. Try to watch it from the hub with a view of the castle in the background (opposite the drawbridge to the side of the disabled area is superb but the bare minimum `bum on kerb` time is 45 minutes before parade time. Wishes is straight after.

Enjoy!!

thanks a lot!! :) That'll really help with our planning!

We really want to stay for wishes, but we are a bit unsure what time the trains stop running, and how we'd get back to central paris to our hotel...

I'm pretty sure that the trains will continue to run AFTER Wishes - can you imagine how many stranded folk there would be if they stopped before the show ?

Hi :)
And welcome to Paris !

The last trains from DLRP :

Name of the train / Departure time :
TEVU - 11:01 pm
UPER - 11:16 pm
TEVU - 11:31 pm
UPER - 11:46 pm
TEVU - 0:00
UPER - 0:15
YVAN - 0:20

Be careful, as said by wdwmagic, it's 35min to THE FIRST RER station in the city of Paris (Nation Station), but generaly, tourists' hotels are located in the west part of Paris (where the touristy areas are) and it takes for instance 15 more minutes to go to Etoile Champs Elysées station.

Cost of a single trip Paris/DLRP (Metro + RER) : 6,20€
Cost of an unlimited trips card Paris Visite zone 1 (Paris) to 5 (DLRP) Metro + RER : 16,75€ (1 day, but you can add other days, but not really the best if you don't need zone 1 to 5 for the rest of your stay in Paris)
Cost of an unlimited trips card Mobilis zone 1 (Paris) to 5 (DLRP) Metro + RER : 12,10€ (only 1 day available)

Have a nice trip !!!

I know I shouldn't compare DLP to WDW but, i was highly dissappointed. The cast members seemed so miserable and there was only one girl in the whole park (in the emporium) who said have a nice day and was really pleasant and helpful!!
I was shockied at the amount of people who smoked aswell..I didnt feel that magic, maybe it was just me comparing too much...
Dont get me wrong, the attractions and parades were great..especially the two mountains there! i think they were slightly better than the WDW versions.
but still, that made me look forward to goin to florida next year a whole lot more!!!
