ANAHEIM – Firefighters evacuated guests and cast members from a Disneyland Resort hotel Saturday afternoon when a small fire erupted, Disneyland spokeswoman Betsy Sanchez said.
Nobody was hurt during the fire, she said.
Anaheim firefighters responded to a fire after it was reported at about 3:30 p.m. at the Paradise Pier Hotel, Sanchez said.
The fire originated from a pizza oven at the hotel, Sanchez said. The damage was minimal and contained to that particular area.
Guests and cast members were not allowed to re-enter the hotel until about a half-hour later, Sanchez said.
This isn't the first pizza oven to spark an evacuation at a Disneyland hotel.
In May, fire officials evacuated 1,000 people from Disney's Grand Californian Hotel after a brief oven fire at the hotel's Storytellers Cafe.
In August 2009, the Grand Californian was evacuated after a pizza oven started smoking.
