We currently have fast passes for our trip in July for both the rides but they are in the day.

Do you think it would be better to do these at night? We will only be staying in AK a few hours to ride these rides and I think it would be awesome at night.

What do you guys think?

How did you get FPs for both Avatar attractions in the same day?

The attractions are indoors so the time of day wont imapct them.
No but the land itself will be great at night and different looking in the daytime. They also could be splitting FP since not everyone can ride FoP

I'd try to do it at two different times. Hopefully things will calm down a little after this weekend (opening and holiday) but if you don't have a FP you likely will have to wait to get inside. Time for each ride after rope drop wasn't bad, but I haven't checked the evening EMH either to see how the waits look.

We are going two different days but both are in the day time. I saw a youtube video where it looked really cool lit up at night. I think I will just keep these times since we are going back in September and try for a night time then.

Ah. We are doing the same thing. We also moved stuff around in other days schedules in the event once we get done with that days fasrpasses and if Avatar FPs are available that evening we can hop over.

So, so far they aren't doing the tier system like at Epcot and HS for these attractions? I hope they don't do that! We are excited to see Pandora, but not going again until 2018... hopefully no 4 hour waits by then!

You can only get one Pandora attraction and then 2 other from the list of Dinosaur, Everest, Festival of the Lion King, Nemo Musical, It's Tough to be a Bug, Kali River Rapids, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Meet Favorite Disney Pals, Primeval Whirl, and Rivers of Light.

Alternatively you can get any 3 non-Pandora rides.

Based on the lines just to get into Pandora, I am fretting even going in June. I heard the line just to get in to Pandora looped from Pandora entrance towards the front of the park and then back to Pandora. This was just to enter the land. I am expecting it to be horrible experience until it lets down.

Oh that's what I was afraid of. I guess one will have to be a rope-drop ride. Maybe by the time we go again (summer 2018) it'll be less chaotic. Thanks for the info!

I'm worried it'll still be crazy even a year from now. As much as I love Disney and my whole family is totally excited for Pandora, I've seen the crowd videos and I don't want to deal with that at all.

Wait, added question: does this mean all the other parks are way less crowded or are all these people extras?? Imagine what happens when Star Wars opens.

I was there this weekend. There was no line around 3:30 to get into pandora. We had a fast pass for the banshee ride. When we came out there was a huge line. So basically it just depends on timing. By the way the ride is incredible. Word of warning if you have any issue with weight or physical problem with legs or hips you may want to skip it. It's cramped space.

I went Sunday morning around 7:30-7:45, rope dropped Na'vi River Journey and got on a posted 15 min wait time within 5-7 minutes. We had a FP for Flight of Passage and literally walked right on with no wait. I suggest getting a FP for one or the other, but if you really want to do FoP try getting that FP instead because it's seeming to be the more popular one.

Umm...that's IF you can even get a FP for it. I've looked as far in advance as I can and all the FP's are booked up.

I believe that was just opening day. I went yesterday mid-day and had no limitations getting into the land. The rides were hovering between 1.5-2.5 hour wait most of the time I was there. Given that was a holiday and day 3 of the land, it could have been worse.

Neither of the rides are outside so it doesn't matter what time of the day you ride it. I would say ride the rides when you can then maybe come back at night to just walk around.

The land itself (Pandora) is spectacular both day and night, but in different ways. The land should be experienced at both times in order to really see all what all the theming has to offer. It makes no difference what time of day you experience the rides.

Hey guys. Need a quick opinion. would it be wiser to do Avatar (last September trip) on a Thursday when, theoretically, the park may be less crowded or on a Saturday with Extra Magic Hours from 8-9 am? I’ll also be there during a free dining week, so that’s something to consider as well. Thank you!!
