Pandora at night

Went to a couple private nighttime events at AK — cocktails, dinner and desserts in three locations, with live music at each. It was really beautiful — and quite dark in some areas. We were escorted from place to place by CMs with flashlights.

When I was growing up, the hospital my parents worked at held private events at Seaworld San Diego all the time, but I would MUCH rather have had private events at a Disneypark 😍

Disneyland used to have GLASS Nights from time to time - Greater Los Angeles Sunday School. You bought your admission tickets through your church, and the crowd was really small, like 15,000. This was back when you had the ticket books, and only had so many E tickets, etc. On these nights you just had an admission ticket, and then could ride anything you wanted. Those nights were so cool - small crowd, not having to ration your tickets, riding on the train from Main Street to Frontierland without having to shell out a D ticket - magical!

To me, AK is not worth going to right now. It closes early and without the three big shows (Nemo, Lion King, Rivers of Light) there's really not that much to do. Personally I only enjoy 8 of the available attractions (including two animal walk-throughs).
I'd spend full days not doing the headliner shows. (I stopped going to Rivers when they removed the shamans.) But I used to watch the live shows in Africa and Pandora all day. It's truly missing something without the musicians and rangers. They made so much of my day there.
