Paddlefish or Boathouse

LOL. This thread is on time. I tried for my last stay to get into Boathouse and couldn't get a reservation so I ended up at Paddlefish. I guess I should have tried harder! Anyways . . .

I'm a foodie and a tough critic but the meal was fine. Not spectacular or anything but I wasn't expecting that either.

We had oysters (which were fine, can't mess that up unless they're warm), the PEI mussels and the flounder dish (with a nuoc cham sauce). Everything was good. The mussels were a little on the plainer side, but it seems the place is themed for a mid-Atlantic, clambake vibe so again, I knew what I was getting into. The bread was good too.

I did not try any desserts; my son wanted the s'more from The Ganachery (recommended).

We had a very nice table right against the glass overlooking the water. All in all, a decent experience.

That said, I probably wouldn't go back but only because there are still plenty of places I prefer or simply haven't gotten to yet.

I had a legitimately excellent meal at what is now Paddlefish like 10-15 years ago (or maybe even longer) -- can't remember what it was called then. I always wondered why they changed it.

EDIT: It was Fulton's Crab House.
We ate in the “Boat” a long time ago when there was a restaurant in there named Steerman’s Quarters.

Do open table
One thing to note about The Boathouse on OpenTable is that they don't usually
do reservations for large parties. I think it may be up to 6, which is usually good for most but Disney draws a lot of families, friends, etc. But unlike MDE you can call the actual restaurant and get a reservation - you don't have to go through Disney Dining.

Yes, Ive done open table and got a reservation. I just find it weird its not available on the mde app. I like having all my plans in one place, but at least I got it.
