Package deals for family of four...how about party of two?

Got a question for you all...

You know those special deals that tend to pop up every once in a while on the WDW website? I know they are usually for a family of four staying at a value resort (though I have seen deals at both the moderates and deluxe) but I was curious if the package could be tweaked to help out just two people. Has anyone tried this or asked about this before?

We are going at the end of February and I'd hate to miss out on saving a little money if possible. I've never tried to hunt for discounts, usually just book the package and go with it. So this will be something new for me if I can take advantage of a good deal.

Thanks!

P.S. Have you called the travel company lately? Not a fan of their new voice recognition system...just give me touch-tone...

Also not a fan of the new W-Disney voice recognition system... :hurl:

Those "family of four" specials are just examples. They are in no way limited to those with a party size of 4, nor are they just for the value resorts. Any discount code can be applied to any reservation, whether it's for one person or a grand gathering of 20. The only question is what is available, and that depends on your dates and resort choice. Also, you need to be eligible for whatever discount you are trying for. For example, anyone can book one that says "general public", but some are limited to Annual Passholders, or Disney Visa cardholders, or FL residents, etc.

Check on here and on mousesavers.com in the next couple of months. If you see a code you are eligible for that includes your dates, it's worth trying! I recently saved $1100 off of our package for December with a passholder code!

I recommend calling and using Kingdom Konsultants they simply are the best. If you already had a ressie and a discount came out that you were eligible for, they would automatically check to see if they could get it for you and apply it or advise you that they couldn't but it might have been available in another resort at the price level you were staying at so you could make a decision if you wanted to switch resorts. You wouldn't have to hunt down deals and call back to get it.

Hey, thanks a lot for the tips!

I found out there was a deal going for our original dates in October but I'm still on the lookout for anything in '09. I do realize that going in peak season might not be as easy to get discounts...but I'll keep your advice in mind!

thanks again :D
