Normally I am very tolerant of things I hear in the parks, because I know that we are all human and God knows I've had some classic moments myself. But I have to say on this trip I heard two comments that got my goat.
1) In line to meet Buzz and Woody. I'm there with my DD (6). I'm standing in front of a girl about my age (37) and her little ones and behind another girl and her little one. The woman behind me was just as psyched as I was to meet the characters, and her husband decided to walk up and tease her, saying. "It's not the real one, you know. It's just a bloke in a costume." She shooed him off and we had a little laugh over it but I was like "Geez!".
2) In line to meet Minnie when the woman behind me decides to expound on the fact that "You know, there is a height limit on this job, because of the costume." She's about to go on about this to her group when I turned around with a big smile and gave her the "shush" sign. At which point she's like "Oh, right! There's kids about!" Really??? In Disney World???
Bless their hearts, I know people just aren't thinking. But my DD is just at that age where she still believes but is certainly smart enough to figure things out...I really didn't want it ruined quite yet! Fortunately no harm done, but I think that's the one area where you really do have to stop and think before you speak.
