Hi guys
My wife and I are visiting orlando soon. I still have about 4 valid adult days on some 4 day hopper tickets purchased way back in 1998. Where would be the best place to sell them? We're not able to use them as we want to purchase tickets that incorporate the disney experience etc etc
Thanks

I'm confused. What do you want your new tickets to have? You can have old tickets upgraded to be ones if they are still valid.

It is unlikely anyone would want to risk buying your old tickets and if they did, they would not want to pay you what they are worth.

We've got 4 days outstanding on our old hopper tickets. If we used those ones we wouldn't have access to My Disney Experience (according to the email they sent us) but we didn't want these tickets to go to waste if anyone can use them.

Do you know if we would be able to upgrade them to include all the current features, or is it better to just forget them?

Thanks for your help!

At the gate you can upgrade them. They should then have access to mydisneyexperience and fast pass plus. But I don't think you can do it in advance.

Someone here might have a better plan. I would buy whatever tickets you want and use them for booking fast passes. Then when you get there you could upgrade these and choose which tickets to use.

a related question - would MDE allow them to link their old tickets to their new reservation?? Don't you just have to enter the ticket #'s? I've never tried this, so don't know if the system will accept old ticket #'s, but it seems like it should since they are still good.

uh oh, now I have more questions.....
If MDE accepts the old #/s, wouldn't they be able to make FP+'s in advance? ....and if that worked (and the # of days & FP's were linked to their reservation, and so to their MB's), would they still need to upgrade them at the gate?
Of course if they needed more days than the # remaining on the old tickets, and purchased the extra days, I don't know if MDE would take more than one set of ticket #'s per guest for the same reservation (in advance). Sorry for so many questions! Just curious about how that would work.

DO NOT SELL YOUR OLD TICKETS. Try to link them by their number to My Disney Experience as @iluvMainStMagic suggested. (You can set up your MDE account before you arrive at WDW.) If that doesn't work, you can exchange your 4 day hoppers for new 4 day hoppers at a Guest Relations window and it won't cost you a cent. If you want to add additional days, you can pay the difference. It will still be MUCH cheaper than not converting your old park hoppers!

Once your new tickets are linked, you can make your Fastpass selections. Contrary to what many people think, plenty of "good" fastpasses are available once you arrive...you don't have to make them all in advance of your vacation.

I just had a friend convert old 6 day hoppers (also from the 90s)when she arrived, and she and her children were able to get all the fastpass choices they wanted. And their admission for 5 days was essentially "free."

I had a no-expiration ticket with 5 days remaining when I went last year. I was able to use the ticket number and sign up for fastpass 30 days in advance as well as ADR's. When I got to the park I just went to the ticket window and they gave me a new plastic card with the proper electronics and everything worked just like it should have.

Yes, this. All of this.

First, it's not legal to sell your tickets. Secondly, nobody would buy them for any decent value, since neither you nor they would have any way of verifying how many days are actually left on them.

And as Tuvalu and others have said, trade them in. If you can't figure out how to link them on MDE, call Disney Reservations and they'll help you figure it out. Disney will honor any valid ticket from the past, with today's equivalent. That's a HUGE savings, especially with 4 days of park hoppers.
