Hi All

We have the luck to have booked an outer building theme park view room at the GF Resort this July and August. That is all I know - does anyone have any experience of these rooms and if on arrival we have a preference should we ask for a particular building?

Many thanks from Kate (50) Alex (19) and Jonathan (50) in Cambridge England.

We stayed at the GF twice last year and had great stays both times. We never requested a specific building, and we were happy with the location of each. We had a theme park view only once. I can't recall the building name, but it was near Narcossee's and the boat launch. Our other stay we were in the building across the marina nearest the bus stops. That was obviously an excellent location since it was a very short walk to the main building, buses, and the QS location. Enjoy your stay at GF. Its my favorite resort!

Be aware that some have trees in front of the balconies which can obscure the view. Also Boca Chica views the park at an oblique angle. Sago Cay is the farthest from the main building and Conch Key is right by the dock which can be a little noisy and have less privacy. Don't be afraid to ask for a different room if you don't care for the one you get.

You can see what I mean with the trees:

Thank you both - most interesting - I suppose a surprise is going to be unique with all this pre planning - just over 200 days - most necessary

We were in Conch Key in October I had requested a dormer room and they thankfully gave us one. It was a lovely view of the other buildings which we like. We like to watch the people go by, we could also see the Contemp. from it. It's our favorite resort, have a wonderful time.
