Our trip & The Lost Wallet

Well, just got back from another great trip to Disney (3/25 - 3/27). We stayed at Wilderness Lodge for the first time. I'd been in the Lodge's lobby and restaurant on previous trips so it wasn't my first time inside this beautiful resort. My only complaint is with room size. I knew from reading these forums to expect small rooms. So it wasn't a surprise to me. Everything was going great until we took the Disney bus from the lodge to Epcot on the first day. Once we went thru Epcot's gate, I checked my pockets for my wallet and started getting nervous. I asked my wife if she had it and after checking the baby's backpack said no. I told her I'd see her in about an hour, turned around, and got on another bus back to the lodge. Wallet was not in my room either. Now I was in trouble. Went down to the lodge's front desk, no wallet. Drove over to Disney's Kennel Club/Lost & Found, no wallet, but was told to try Epcot's Customer Relations/Lost & Found at the front gate. Called my wife who walked over to that area. She was told a wallet HAD been found by a bus driver and was on it's way back to the lodge. The question is, was it MY wallet. I went back to the front desk at the lodge and this time MY wallet was there. Amazing. In just over an hour I had lost my wallet and had it back in my lucky hands. BIG KUDOS to Disney's staff. The bus driver even stuck his business card in my wallet with a small note on the back telling me he'd found my wallet and wishing me a great time at Disney. We had a great time from then on, visiting Epcot, MK, MGM, AK. I even stood in a 70 minute line, something I usually don't do, to ride Expedition Everest.

Whew ... you're very lucky that you got your wallet back!!! :sohappy:

I am amazed that Bus Driver's are carrying "business cards" ... there must be a lot of people leaving their things behind! And, a lot of Bus Drivers making some GREAT TIPS!

I believe Tony Soprano may have had your wallet, Mr. Finnerty. He has been trying to return it to you for two weeks.

:lookaroun

Seriously, glad to hear it worked out for you and you had a good trip. How about that Everest, huh? :D

Had the same thing happen a few years back in Epoct. My purse (be it a very small purse) fell out of my husbands backpack.

I did not notice it until the end of the day when we got back to the room. Called the Epcot guest area, and sure enough they had it.

Everything still in it including money and credit cards!

Welcome to the boards

A very lucky experience with your wallet - I hope you found the bus driver and bought him a drink (obviously not while he was at work).
