We are making our very first trip to WDW. Family of five, kids 9/5/5. We are on the Disney Deluxe Dining plan. Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Day one- Epcot- Dinner- Akershus- dinner with Princesses after flying in

Day two- MK- Breakfast- on our own
Lunch- quick serve
Dinner- Crystal Palace

Day three- Hollywood- Breakfast- on our own
Lunch- Quickserve
Dinner- Mama Melrose

Day Four- Animal Kingdom- Breakfast- Tusker House
Lunch- Yak and Yeti
Dinner- Narcoosee's
Day Five- Epcot- Breakfast- on our own
Lunch- Coral Reef
Dinner- Chefs de France

Day Six- MK- Breakfast- on our own
Lunch - Quick Serve
Dinner- Cinderella's Royal Table

Day 7- Epcot- Breakfast- at resort
Lunch- Teppan Edo
Dinner- Oh Napoli

By our count, we have 17 credits already planned and one more to use for another breakfast. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreaciated. Only place we can't seem to fit in is Whispering Canyons. We think our 9 year old who is a comedian would enjoy it. Just don't know how to work it in. Only day we plan to leave park early is the day at Animal Kingdom and we want to have a nice family dinner at Narcoosee's that night. Thoughts appreciated

Looks incredible!! Have a great trip!! Any thoughts on Ohana or T-rex? Ohana is great and supposedly all kids love T-rex! Oh Garden Grill is my favorite character meal.

I'll comment on the ones I've been to/going to on upcoming trip.

Akershus - heard great things about it...which is why we booked it for breakfast!
Crystal Palace - Same thing...booked breakfast
Mama Melrose - We've enjoyed our meals here. Nothing ground breaking but still good.
Narcoosses - hear AMAZING things. Have this booked for dinner.
Coral Reef - 2 years ago...had one of the best meals ever in Disney (Swordfish!) And last trip - we had one of the worst. But if they have Swordfish as the 'Catch of the Day'...get it! You won't be disappointed.
Chefs de France - It's popular but we had a horrible meal here. The only good thing was the Lobster Bisque. But the atmosphere was so crowded and loud and the food was bland.
Cinderellas Royal Table - fantastic experience. Food is just OK but eating in the Castle is just about one of the coolest things ever.
Teppan Edo - great food...on par with basic hibachi food you can find anywhere but still a solid meal.
Via Napoli - absolutely LOVED it. The service was just OK but the food was really good. Have it booked again for our next trip!

Hope this helps! Hope you have a great trip!

Day 1 (Epcot):
Dinner: Akershus/Princess Storybook - Great choice!
Day 2 (MK):
Breakfast - I would recommend Main Street Bakery, they have great cinammon rolls
Lunch - I would recommend Columbia Harbor House
Dinner: Crystal Palace - Great choice!
Day 3 (DHS):
Breakfast: I would recommend Starring Rolls Cafe
Lunch: Not many good quick service restaurants to choose from at DHS - Maybe you could use one of you TS for Sci-Fi
Dinner: Mama Melrose - Never eaten there
Day 4 (AK):
Breakfast: Tusker House - Great choice!
Lunch: Yak and Yeti - Never eaten there, but heard it is good - Flame Tree BBQ is good too
Dinner: Narcoosee's - Never eaten there, but heard it is good
Day 5 (Epcot):
Breakfast - No suggestions
Lunch: Coral Reef - Never eaten there, but heard it is pretty good
Dinner: Chefs de France - Never eaten there
Day 6 (MK):
Dinner: Cinderella's Royal Table - We have eaten there for breakfast & it was great!
Day 7 (Epcot)
Breakfast: at resort
Lunch: Teppan Edo - Great choice!
Dinner: Oh Napoli - Never eaten there

Looks good...but two comments.
1) Three sit downs on Day 4 may be a lot.
2) Day 3..take that extra dining credit, drop Melrose and add Brown Derby. Or add 50's Prime Time for lunch.

Thanks for the input. I'll try to respond to some suggestions

-We have been discussing cancelling the Yak and Yeti reservation on day 4 due to the park closing at 5 to save more times for rides and such. I am in favor of doing the BBQ place or something like that.

-We tried to make a reservation at Ohana but haven't had any luck as of yet. We will keep trying

-We are going to try and fit in Whispering Canyons, just don't know when.

-Also the day we leave we are going to do lunch at Reglan Road in DDD we think.

-Coral Reef- I like most have read mixed reviews but the kids are real excited about the aquarium restaurant.

-Going to look into the Garden Grill as well.

Any more suggestions are certainly welcome. We are excited and think we have a decent handle on this first trip to WDW for all of us, but there is so much to take in and try to process how and when to do stuff. It can be overwhelming.

I would suggest moving Cindy's to breakfast......and I love day 4!! You will be busy, but Yak & Yeti is one of my favorites!! With children 9/5/5, consider Sci-Fi instead of Mama Mel's. The theme is tremendous, food so so. Great choices!!

Just a fair warning, DDP is a lot of food! We went to Narcoossee's later in the evening and my daughter informed me she wasn't even hungry! Great restaurant. The strawberry dessert was wonderful! My daughter loved Coral Reef. Have a great vacation!

Looks great!
Two things you might want to look into.
Mama Milrose has priority seating for the show Fantasmic. This would save you a lot of waiting time to see the show. You might qualify with your reservations already! Give them a call.
Second, the best family dining experience at WDW without question is the HoopDee Doo Review. Try to get the earlier show for your younger kids. To make it an even more special experience, volunteer your husband or self to participate in the show! Have a great time.

We used the Deluxe Dining Plan on our last vacation, and it was nice, but WAY too much food. Three credits daily can be tough to get through, even if you book a lot of signature restaurants and "only" eat two meals. Especially since the deluxe plan allows for an appetizer and dessert at each table service meal we tried to eat an early lunch and late dinner each day and it still caught up with us by the end of the week.

For scheduling, I'd suggest dropping a sit down breakfast on the Animal Kingdom day. Getting an early start in the Animal Kingdom helps to see and do more and Yak and Yeti (or Tusker House) would make a nice midday meal to take a break from the heat and crowds.

I also like the idea of switching to a breakfast at Cinderella's Royal Table on the second Magic Kingdom day. Since I don't love any of the dinner options in the MK this would be the perfect opportunity to have dinner at Whispering Canyon.

Sadly, there are too many "must try" restaurants at Walt Disney World to fit in even half of them in a normal length vacation. Having to balance available reservations, food type, and the fun factor can be daunting but I think you've got a pretty good plan overall.

Good luck and have fun!
