Our Family Trip Report 7/7 thru 7/23

:) Travel Companions DH 35, DS 11, DS 5 and ME 34. We stayed at POFQ Building 5 River View from 7-7 until 7-23. I'll start it with Day 1 the arrival -
We landed about 10 minutes early p/u rental car and arrived at the POFQ by 11 a.m. (room wasn't ready so we checked our bags and had our first counter service at Floatworks) then we headed out to MK. Let me tell you it was packed but it was extremely pack at Pirates (Opening Day) the line to ride went all the way to the totem poles by Jungle Cruise :eek: . We skipped it and p/u FP's to Splash and Thunder and enjoyed Buzz / Stitch / Haunted / Goofy / Small World / Mickey's Phillamagic then went to Chef Mickey's for Dinner celebrated DS's B-Day's (Chip stole our DS now 5 and paraded him around our section of restaurant with a cloth pirate hat he made him and went to each table in our section making them wish him Happy B-Day :D ) both their B-Day's were while on vacation DS now 11 too big for that ;) . After dinner we headed back to have our luggage brought to our room and to refresh ourselves then back to MK for E.M.H. we rode everything including Astro and enjoyed Pirates 2 x's in a row (they were letting CM's ride in their own boat REAL COOL!!! nice gesture on opening day) Splash 3 X's, Buzz 2x's it was AWESOME we left MK at 2:30 a.m. and DS'S and DH thought they were :king: 's. Not bad for check in day!!!! :sohappy:

Pirates was awalk on the 2 times i rode it, but it was during Extra Magic Hours. Im glad i didnt wait during the lines in the afternoon.

What happenned the rest of ur trip?

Our Family Trip Report Days 2 and 3

So now we begin Day 2 - It's MGM day so we wake up the DS's and are up and out the door 8:45 and arrive in MGM for opening. We are feeling quite well for having spent the night closing MK :lol: we start adding more pictures onto our photo passport-our goal 300 by check-out( we'll let you know if we did it) then right to ToT :( I'm really kinda scared by it elevator fear I guess :animwink: so we fast pass it. DS 5 has decided he hates lines and since he can now ride everything but R&R and couple of water park rides he's good to go!!! but impatient to wait!!! So we head over to Muppets love it everytime 5 min wait SWEEET!!! Star Tours 10 min wait ride it DS'S and DH love it me DW :hurl: makes me sick (motion sickness) but I'm a trooper and we forge onward!!
Back to ride ToT DS 5 1st timer riding it we buy the photo PRICELESS!!! He vows never ever again and he means NEVER EVER AGAIN !!!! DH so sad (DW so :D ) he tries to get him to ride again by getting FP's DS 5 says NO WAY YOUR CRAZY we leave the tower and head over to Lights Cars Motor Action. We enjoyed the show but man it's HOT climbing the stadium and sitting there we lost about 2 lbs a piece in moisture. Excellent show we decided heat + daytime ='s once will do. Next up animation tour we sit thru tour then try our hand at drawing ..... STITCH!!! DH concentrates and draws his pretty well DS 11 not bad little help from me DS 5 not bad lots of help from ME my drawing :lol: better then DH and I helped our DS's even the artist said it was really good better then he expected since I was helping others in the room again PRICELESS!!! Dinner our belly's are calling for FOOD!!! Brown Derby Fantasmic Dinner Package here we come we had an ADR for 4:20 the meals was excellent, service was good DH had Crab Cake/Filet Mignon/Happiest Celebration on Earth with a cookies and creme shake DS 11 had Salad/Salmon/Happiest Celebration with vanilla shake DS 5 had Salad/Mac & Cheese/Hidden Treasure Sundae and I had Scallops/Grouper/White Chocolate Praline Nut Cheesecake with Ice Tea and Coffee w/dessert. Back outside we caught the middle of the parade and went back to ToT rode 1 more time DS 5 has decided he still doesn't like the ride and can't see how DH can find it fun he and DS 11 have decided for rest of our vacation they will not be riding ToT again. Try to get FP for R&R no more available stand by 90 mins :eek: . Skip it and head over to ride as my DS's call it the Alien Ride (Great Movie Ride) still enjoy it. We then head out to ride Backlot it's closed??? oh well.... try to let the kids play in Honey We Shrunk Kids Play Area closed??? see a pattern here.... so we ride Muppets and Star Tours and then head over Oscars for our Fantasmic End to our night. We enjoy a spectacular show and head over to GMR one more ride and head for the bus while the 2nd showings fireworks explode!!!! Back at the POFQ we enjoy a snack of ice cream shakes and one Mickey Bar then a night swim before bed. Another long day but so worth it. :sohappy:

Our Family Trip Report - Day 3

Today we are heading to Epcot. Early Extra Magic Hours we arrive @ 7:30am surive the bag-check and we are taking our photo in front of Spaceship Earth then straight to Soarin'. We joined the masses in the march over (everyone arriving in the park headed the same way) we get FP's return time 9:10 so we decide to ride standby wait time 10 mins. Ride was incredible (I feel so refreshed when we fly over the orange groves) we all find the whole ride start to finish well done and can't wait to ride it again!!! We get off the ride potty break and then ride Living with the Land 5 min. wait enjoyed it especially DS 5's refreshing take on it (everything was fascinating to him) he keeps telling his PA (Grandpa) how he should grow his tomatoes in the air so you can walk under them and when can we come back to pick our Mickey Pumpkins :eek: they'd be like what say $25.00 a pound because there customized. We'll pass on that and stick to carving a Mickey in the ones we pick here on the Island. We still have some time to kill so we head over to ride W/ Figment (we love him) DS 11 hates the skunk smell :dazzle: DH found his Dream job. DS 5 and I love Figment's House. Time to head back to Soarin' wait time 30 mins good thing we have FP's so we ride it again even more enjoyable we are dead center front row :sohappy: . Moving on to Test Track I make the mistake of telling DH that standby 20 mins so he FP's Mission Space and we head over to ride Test Track but standby is 50 mins and single is 20 oops!! we skip it DH not impressed with me ;) we ride Ellen's while waiting for FP's to come up. DS's love the dinosaurs but ride breaksdown as we enter final movie sequence and we end up sitting thru whole film in silence (NO SOUND) they give us FP's too ride any one of the following attractions Mission Space/Living with the Land/Malestrom/Mexico/Space Ship Earth. We head over to Mission Space and DS 11 spies Mickey and Goofy walking out from Body Wars in Mission Space suits we get a great picture of two boys with them. So DH runs over to p/u FP's for Test Track there for after 1 but it's time to ride Mission Space another 1st for DS 5 :D we go w/green less intense I'm paranoid about what's happened with unknown or unseen medical conditions so for the time being mom's concerns win out over dad's don't worry about it. DH , DS 11 and I have had the opportunity to ride it when it opened and then again on an additional trip so I feel that was good enough but having a choice for the little guy we can all handle the less intense and he'll never know he missed anything (who need the :hurl: feeling anyway) . As it was he didn't care for the ride much he seems to prefer more thrill rides like Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Railroad. So we decide to have lunch we head over to the Land and I have Salmon w/ mashed Potatoes Butterfinger Cheesecake, DH has Asian 2 combo meal w/some strawberry shortcake thing, DS 11 has Asian 1 combo w/cinnamon roll and DS 5 has PB&J with carrots, apple juice and smores brownie for dessert all very yummy! So we head back out to ride Test Track DS 5 LOVES IT!!!! Only problem was the single riders were like 100 brazillians and they kept screaming stuff out to others everytime they saw another one of their companions in the green shirts go by. Extremely rude and obnoxious I find it disrespectful and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. So we head out and p/u another FP's for later and head over to Club Cool. Great pics of DS 11 as I reminded him of his favorite soda Beverly :goodnevil I just couldn't help myself. So we had over to Innoventions and enjoy some time there send some email postcards to love ones and take our photo at Disney Visa Card Members Photo Shoot. Then we head over to enjoy Honey We Shrunk the Audience and guess who's out front FIGMENT another great photo of the boys enjoyed the show and went back onto FIGMENT. DS 5 was chosen to go up on stage and help the Kodak scientist with an experiment he got a great funny face picture and a nice memory to share about his summer vacation with his new kindergarten class. DS 11 enjoyed himself sending his Grandparents, Aunts,Uncles and Cousins some cool postcard emails. We even sent a group shot :kiss:. So we head over to the Character Connection filling up that photo pass and autograph book we catch a marriage proposal with Mickey, Goofy, Minnie, Pluto, Chip, Dale and Donald all in on it Disney Coordinator was asked for her hand in marriage by a fellow castmember she said YES and cried :cry: . They posed for photos with all the characters and then as a couple with each individual character all captured on a Photo Pass (great idea). So we head over to the Living Seas to experience Turtle Talk w/Crush 45 min wait skip it and enjoy just viewing exhibits and taking photos w/Bruce. Then it's ADR's at Coral Reef we wait for bottom level tankside table and settle in for a nice meal. DH had Chef's Special Calamari(I think)/Mahi Mahi/California Gold, DS 11 had Shrimp Cocktail/Salmon/Chocolate Wave, DS 5 had Triton's Pasta/Build your Own Sundae I had Shrimp Cocktail/Chef's Special Tuna/ Chocolate Wave. All the meals were delicious but DH so sweet he switched with me I was keen on the texture of the Tuna he's the BEST MAN EVER he's my :king: !!! So we head out and Ride test track one more time DH & DS 11 ride Mission Space ORANGE while DS 5 and I ride spaceship Earth 3x's in a row. Then we jump onto the monorail and head over to Magic Kingdom for PM Extra Magic Hour this time it's packed. So we take the train to Frontierland and try for FP's for splash but rides closed ???? NO FP's we opt for Big Thunder Mountain and jump the train to Toontown enjoy the houses ride Goofy's 5 x's ride Speedway/Buzz/Stitch get boys Rootbeer Floats and us Strawberry Smoothies for us. Watched SpectroMagic from alongside Splash Mountain and enjoyed the MK until 2:00 am when we rode Splash at exactly 2 then we strolled out slowly took some awesome photos of the castle with no one in them and we enjoyed viewing the Kiss Goodnight. We headed for the bus for some well earned sleep. See you tommorrow with day 4.

Our Family Trip - Day 4

Animal Kingdom here we come...we arrive a little after opening hey .. we had a late night before. Anyway we head straight to Expedition Everest to ride the newest attraction we watched it being built and couldn't wait to get back and see it all done. It had a posted 30 min wait but from the line (it ran past restrooms and blocked path to Kali) was probably 50mins easy we FP's it and headed over to Kiliminjaro 20 min wait not bad it took 15 just to walk to the loading dock. Worth the wait it was incredible lots of animals out and about. We get off and DH gets a great shot of one of the gorillas sitting in the waterfall. We then head to have a breakfast snack at Tusker House. Then we head over to Kali River Rapids 30 min wait we FP's it. We ride Everest FANTASTIC!!!! Ride is incredible all I can say is don't skip it. DS 5 such a dare devil he hop skipped and jumped all the way to the loading platform, DS 11 little more reserved he slowly walked up he's no fan of new rides or unknowns. We rode in the last car made for a great picture true expressions for first time riders we bought the photo. See any patterns here :lol: we have decided to buy photos as our souveniers this year with corresponding frames. Off we run to p/u FP's again wait time 70 mins. we have to wait 18 minutes before we can get new ones :brick: the insanity of it all. We then ride Kali River always to quick needed to be longer but we see a nice photo op for future ride along burning woods scence there is a great view of Everest DH vows to get the shot next time we ride. We don't get too soaked so it's off and into the trails to see the lions. The boys love it after which we head to bugs life. Bugs life 20 min we go for it DS 11 hates the stinger part DS 5 hates the stink bug both boys love the last part when the bugs leave the theater :lookaroun . We head over to pizzafari for lunch very good meal for theme park pizza (we're from New York). Rafiki's planet watch is next DS 11 enjoys live alligator presentation DS 5 likes the petting/brushing zoo DH thinks the ________ signs in the mens room are :lol: I like the AC. so we head back to enjoy Dinosaur good ride DS 5 a little scared but brave. We then head over to Triceratops spin ride it once and head out to get a photopass in front of the Tree of Life then on to Rainforest for dinner. We aren't impressed meal was poor in taste and quality and service stunk last time for us. We head back to the park p/u our extra magic hour bracelets and head to ride Kiliminjaro before park closes great time to ride all the animals were out and extremely active the hippos were all out of the water eating. So we rode it twice couldn't pass up the opportunity 2nd time around we saw the lions out on the rocks. Then we headed to Camp Minnie Mickey to fill up that autograph book and add more photos to our pass (we are going to reach our goal of 300). We have agood time as park is almost closed and nobody is in the area so characters are bored and spend more time fooling around with the boys (Donald was the best) we have a couple of pictures were it's all about him HAHAHAHA!!!!:sohappy: So we head out into the park for the night and ride Dinosaur/Triceratops/Expedition (even better at night)/Kali (DH got the picture he wanted came out great) awesome at night except for bugs on the wait line/Bugs Life 5 min wait why not. We then got a couple of pictures with Stitch and Mickey and Minnie before heading out for the night. All in all it was nice to be in the park at night we enjoyed it and it's a beautiful park at night with the sounds and lighting and some more awesome photos of everest lit up. :snore: We are tired and it's time for bed so we take the bus to our home away from home!!!

Our Family Trip - Day 5 - 7

Day 5 - We are going to be slowing it down now so we head to Typhoon Lagoon for a morning of relaxation and exercise :lol: . We arrived at 8 am for the early extra magic hours p/u our locker and headed off to ride Gangplank Falls line usually too long for this one so we rode it early and figured it was a good way for everyone to get their feet wet. Next we DH and DS 11 rode Humunga Kowabunga DS 5 and I patiently waited for them. We all rode the storm slides (all three slides). Next stop Crush & Gusher DS 11 had the opportunity to ride 4 times in a row (2x's on Banana Blaster and 2x's on Coconut Crusher) while DH and I switched off playing with DS 5 :( (couple of inches too small) in the small pool. We LOVED the new ride and can't wait to go back again so DS 5 can ride with us. Next stop Mayday Falls and Keelhaul Falls. Then we enjoy Shark Reef jump in the Castaway Creek and float over to Leaning Palms for an early lunch. Good thing we did we had just sat down around 11am when it started to get dark and drizzle we sat under one of the gazebos (shelters) at a table enjoying our lunch and all of a sudden it started to thunder and rain shortly followed by the announcement to seek shelter all attractions were temporarily closed due to a storm. So glad we chose to eat early because people were swarming the shelters looking for a place to sit out of the rain and since attractions closed EVERYONE in the park was eating lunch. There were no seats to be found except in the rain. We sat in our perfect table enjoyed our lunch and some ice cream for about an hour until they gave the all's clear report. We headed to the Surf Pool swam about an hour until we saw storm clouds rolling in. We decided to leave the park Mother Nature was no longer shing down on us. We caught a bus just as the skies exploded with thunder and lightning. We went back to our room relaxed and took a nap then headed out to Cap N Jacks for dinner via the water shuttle at our resort (nice ride compared to a bus). Meal was delicious DS 5 had hot dog and fries, DS 11 had Ceasar Salad/Pork Ribs/Chocolate Lava cake, DH had Crab Cakes/Top Sirlion w/lobster tail/Key lime pie and I had Shrimp Cocktail/Twin Lobster Tails/White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake. We then headed to shop Downtown Disney take in the sights and enjoy a leisure evening. We promised DS 5 that he can get a dessert at Goofy's Candy Company he had 3 custom preztel rods made DH & DS 11 had candy apples and I had custom made oreo cookie. We enjoyed a boat ride back to our hotel and enjoyed our Goofy's treats and settled in to sleep dreaming about what Day 6 would bring :snore: .

Day 6 - Another laid back day for us after a late sleep in we head over to the Contemporary for Parasailing. DS's are so excited we are going tandem DS 11 and DH and DS 5 and myself there is a another pair two young women also going tandem. It's sunny clear with a little breeze we head out onto Bay Lake and they ask "Who's wants to go first?" Before question is finished DS 5 (told you he's a dare devil:fork: ) shouts "ME !!!" So up we go all I can say is "WOW!!!" DS 5 "COOL!!!" It's a breathtaking experince and we could see for miles we saw Spaceship Earth, Mickey Water Tower, Tree of Life and even the splash as people headed down Splash Mountain. Next up DH w/ DS 11 they love it more brave then me they let go and sail with there hands out. Next up the girls they have a nice flight too. DS 5 wants to go again after the girls we say not this time buddy maybe next trip. Well after we get back to dock we tip the guys for the good time eat lunch and head back to our hotel to change. Thank god we went early because the sky's opened up as we walked back to our room. We took a nap and headed out to dinner at the Flying Fish DS 5 had Mickey Pasta, DS 11 had Salad/Salmon/White Chocolate Strawberry Cosmo, DH had Soft Shelled Crab/Potato wrapped Snapper/Flying Fish Collection I had Lobster Bisque/Sea Scallops/Warm Valrhona Chocolate Galette. We then walked over to Epcot to meet my mom (boys Grandma) and my Aunt to enjoy some attractions and watch Illuminations. It ended up drizzling again while we waited for the show about 100 people from an Argentina Tour group fled and we head perfect spots dead center with the American Pavalion in the background. It was spectacular and the perfect end to another day :sohappy: . We walked them out to the front and returned thru international Gateway and walked back to our car at the Boardwalk.

Day 7 - Blizzard Beach here we are 8 am let us in .... Rope drops and we head right to the top we ride Teamboat Springs we enjoy getting wet together for the fisrt ride then we hit Snow Stormers, Run Off Rapids, Toboggan Racers (mom wins, mom wins), DH and DS 11 compete on Downhill Double Dipper and DS 11 wins. Next stop Cross Country Creek to enjoy Ski-Patrol with the boys. Then we repeat everything again!!! After round 2 we head over to Lottawatta Lodge for an early lunch. We then head into Melt Away Bay and enjoy the waves for an hour. Then we take the creek over to Ski Patrol DS 5 and I enjoy the attractions while DH and DS 11 head up and ride Summit Plummet:eek: . After they ride we all head up and ride Teamboat Springs one last time then head out to go back to our hotel top rest and change for dinner at Artist Point. DS 5 has PB & J, DS 11 has Ceasar Salad/Pork Chop/Valrhona Chocolate Truffle Cake, DH Crispy Venison Spring Rolls/Grilled Buffalo Sirloin Steak/Artist Point Cobbler and I had Braised Pene Cove Mussels(DH enjoyed them)/Cedar Plank Wild King Salmon/Valrhona Chacolate Truffle Cake. We then headed over to MK by boat and enjoyed several attractions and viewed Wishes. DS's picked out a special snack from the Confectionary and we enjoyed a boat ride back to Wilderness Lodge p/u our car and headed back for some sleep:snore: .
