Other resort transport from Coronado

So we are staying at the CSR starting next Saturday (1 week, yea!:sohappy: ) and I want an opinion from all y' all about getting to other resorts.

For instance one evening we have dinner booked at Boma. I fully expect that we may be at Coronado before we go. What do you think would be the easiest way to get there? We may want to go to other resorts too other days for either dinner or just to poke around.

My thinking is that if we have time to take a bus to MGM (closest to CSR) and then to the other hotel. I don't want to do the DTD route as that has been a disasterously long wait in the past. Of course if we are short on time we are fully prepared to pay for a cab.

Thanks for you suggestions!:D

If you are going to use Disney Transport there are different options to take from different places. From CSR to AKL I would recommend going to AK first if it is still open. It is close to both resorts and basically in between them. It would be the best option for going to AKL. As far as other resorts...aim for either the Studios or the Closest Theme Park. Those would be the most convenient way to go.

The problem going from hotel to hotel is that you pretty much need to transfer at a park or Downtown Disney. From CSR, you can walk to McDonald's, Blizzard Beach, and the All-Star resorts along a dedicated path/sidewalk.

Blizzard Beach may be helpful during the day, because you could walk there and then catch a bus to any other hotel, cutting down a bus transfer.

Otherwise, AK is close, and the Studios are close, so those would be your best transfer points.

I agree with this!!! Coronado and Animal Kingdom Lodge are both considered Animal Kingdom Area resorts. Can you arrange to do Animal Kingdom that day then just catch the bus from AK to AKL? Belle

Where are these paths, please? I can't find them on a map. Also, what McDonald's are you talking about?

You can't miss them or McD's. The paths run right alongside the road from CSR all the way to All-Stars & right past BB. The McD's is right by Osceola Pkwy at the exit for All-Stars, BB, CSR. It is the only McD's Restaurant I know of on WDW Property (And possibly the most expensive I know of anywhere  ).

There isnt really a "path" from CSR but there is one from the all stars its right along that main drive. CSR you will have to cross the street at one point but as you exit the resort area you turn right and blizzard beach is like an 1/8 mile walk on the left.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I never knew there was a path to Blizzard Beach.

I was just on Live Earth and unless they have since torn up the path I can confirm to everyone that a path does exist from CSR to BB and on to the McDonalds and AS Resorts.

I guess my thought to basically take the bus to the nearest park and then on to the other hotel from there is the best bet other than already being in a park or a taxi.

Thanks again!

Hopefully one day WDW might actually have some viable Hotel to Hotel options especially around dinner time.

Thanks, I found it, too. But that's quite a walk!

0.9 mi to BB (plus about 0.1 to the bus stop)
1.4 mi to MacDonald's
1.7 mi to All Stars - the northern most building - looks like the main building. I don't know where the bus stops.

From CSR, just walk out the main entrance, and you'll see the sidewalk snake through the parking lot, then cross Beuna Vista Drive. It then follows BVD on the east side of the road, passing Blizzard Beach and Winter/Summerland. It then goes under Osceola Parkway/Animal Kingdom Drive, past the McDonalds, crosses to the west side of BVD, and into All-Star Sports.

It's a pleasant walk when it isn't too hot, and you can make it from CSR to BB in about 10 minutes.

Not the only one on WDW property. There's one at the Marketplace, right next to the Lego store.

And, of course, you can get fries in at least the MK, Epcot, and DAK.

There isn't an actual path from CSR, otherwise Disney would advertise it. So just be careful walking along it and crossing the street if you decide to walk. The best thing to do though would be to take the buses and transfer.

I believe the cement path might not be really for tourist but for house cleaning crew being transport to the all star resort. Their parking lot is hidden across the street from macdonald. I usually see them on golf carts with 4 or 5 person on it. But Disney allow runners and joggers to use the paths on both side of the street.
