Hey runners - we have 3 days at Universal before we go to Disney this August. Staying at Cabana Bay, and looking for suggestions for where to get some early morning runs in while there. Preferably 5 miles or so. If this post is not OK for this forum, please let me know. Thanks!

If you don’t get any answers here in the running sub forum (I’ve only been to Universal once and did not go on any runs), you might try posting the question in the Universal sub forum.

Universal is VERY runner friendly!!! From Cabana Bay, you can run either the pathway to the theme parks which is shaded and lovely, or you can run the sidewalk that surrounds the entire Universal property which has many off shoot sidewalks into residential areas. You can easily find 5 miles back out that way. All sidewalk running, but there is a shoulder to run on as well on that large perimeter sidewalk of the rear of the complex. Check out a google map as well.

Thanks! Yes, I already mapped out a route on Runkeeper (see below), but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing other better options.

I don't love running on concrete, so I avoid sidewalks when I can. But I know there may not be other options here.

The pathway from CBBR to CityWalk is indeed lovely!

The "2 Travel Dads" website suggests this route, which pretty closely follows what you mapped out, OP! https://2traveldads.com/staying-fit-at-universal-orlando-resort/universal-orlando-jogging-trail-map/
