Osceola Interchange/Road Permits

For the record, isn't the red route impossible? Getting on I-4 east at location doesn't put you in a spot where you can get off at epcot center drive.

If you want to go via Epcot Center Drive, you REALLY have to go out of your way to do it.

Disney has begun to transplant some of the huge oak trees from around the old Richard Petty Driving Experience Speedway to various places around the Osceola Parkway / Hollywood Studios entrance interchange and the Osceola Parkway and World Drive interchange. The big oak trees in their new locations look like they have always been there, which is the object.

Several of the large oak trees have already been moved and planted. Here is a photo of one tree before planting. This location is north of Osceola Parkway on the east side of World Drive. The ramp to the Osceola Parkway overpass over World Drive can be seen in the background. The back area of Hollywood Studios is to the far left in this photo.

Recent rains in Central Florida have "greened" everything up.

Did this work go on during the covid shutdown of projects? I would assume landscaping maintenance would be required but did large scale replanting like this go on?

A lot of the replanting of trees along Victory/Osceola were happening pre-shutdown. The trees were in their places with the wooden frames around it. They just needed to remove the wood, place water lines, and blend the ground.

A lot of planting was done pre shut down. However there has also been a lot of planting and trees added since the shut down.
