Well, the acting for LOTR didn't get nominated... and shouldn't have. There was not wonderful acting with this movie. But, history shows a lot of movies that won oscars without actor or actress oscars. It was a fun set of movies for a lot of people.
This summer should have some good movies. Ben Stiller has a full line up of good ones (if you like him as an actor) and Will Ferrel has a few too. I imagine Mel Gibson will be nominated next year for Passion.
