Osborne Lights - Black Cat

Just had my first chance to check out the Osborne lights this year last night on a quickie trip to the Studios. Went looking for, and, am proud to say, found the Halloween cat. All on my own, nonethless, without cheating!

Anyone else find it this year?

If not, you can check out my pic HERE to see it. (I don't want to put it right in the topic to avoid spoilers if anyone wants to wait and find it on their own.)

*For those who don't know, when the lights were shipped to Disney, a black cat from the Osborne's Halloween display accidentally made it in the shipment. Disney sets it up someplace different each year as a little hidden extra.

Thanks for the pic! Have to confess that I forgot about him this year, although I have noticed him in years past.

I was dazzled by my first view of the "dancing" lights set to music! It was a great display!

I found it for the first time this year. Even accidentally took a picture of it before discovering it.
 Too funny!

George and I both spent a fair amount of time looking for it this year. Happy to say...I found it first!
I made a point to look for him withOUT cheating. I'm not above asking for hints or looking it up on the web to ensure I found him. So I was proud I found him all on my own! :D

Welcome! And yeah, the dancing is simply awesome. There's really no other word for it!

We did find him... but were given a "general" area to look in. I found him first when we turned onto the street.

The CM who gave us the hint of what street the Cat is on regailed us with a tale I'm not sure is true. It was about the nativity scene and how Roy had picked it out. Now unless this scene was at MK, Roy O. died shortly after the park opened. I guess it could have been Roy E.

Nothing so fancy as all that. It's just from the Osborne's Halloween display and accidentally got shipped along with the rest of the lights. :D

I really appreciate the post MissM.
I wasn't aware of the hidden cat.
I can't wait to look for it next year on my first WDW Xmas trip. :sohappy:

Most welcome!

Remember, he moves someplace different every year so keep your eyes out. You never know where he'll show up next. :D

No, sorry. That got kind of muddled. The same CM who gave us the hint as to where the cat was is the one who told us the story about the nativity scene that Roy supposedly commissioned (the one in DHS in the 'town square' area just outside LMA).

could be true, but I'm guessing that he meant Roy E. and not Roy O. Though some CMs don't know that there were 2 Roys.

This thread is long dead... nine years. The Osborne lights AND Lights, Motors, Action! are long gone as well.

Management frowns on reopening long dead threads without significant new information to add.
