so my dd's dance team is headed to WDw on thursday for comeptition. we'll be there from thursday night until monday afternoon. the primary focus of the trip is to compete, of course, but we'll also have time for fun.

the team goes every year. one of the traditions they have is to get dressed up and go out to dinner twice durig the weekend. some of the older members of the team are getting tired of eating in "the same old places" -- one of the seniors was very vocal about being bored with Grand Floridian -- she says "the prince is ugly and those mice are stupid".

so the game plan was go go to Bubba Gump's at Universal one night and to Chef Mickey's the other night. but we weren't able to get the reservation for chef Mickey's -- we're a group of about 30 people, and we needed a late sitting because we're at the competition most of the day.

so my dd tells me we're going to some dinner theater off site, some place called "mystery sleuth" or something like that.

anyone here every heard of this place?

I went there about 10 years ago. It was fun food was fair. It was not Disney theming or quality but I had a good time. It has relocated to what looks like a much better facility since then so the food quality might have improved....the theming certainly looks like it has.

I chaperoned a choir group of about 80 there a few years ago. Again the food wasn't great, but we really had a good time. They involved the audience alot and made it fun for everyone.

Thanks for your imput. I found the website for the place, and it does, indeed, look like fun.

We had to preorder our dinner because we're a large group. My dd and I will be having he lasagna.
