I was looking through scrapbooks from my cast member days of the mid 80s and ran across a page in the June 21, 1985 "Disney Newsreel," prepared by and for the employees of Walt Disney Productions (employees! gasp!)
Anyway, the title was "Jog With Jiminy . . . The Road to Health" and referenced fun runs for Disney employees (there's that word again!) and their families at Griffith Park. The races consisted of a 2K, a 5K and a 10K, and from this photo, there were clearly medals handed out, at least to the winners. I wonder what the medal looked like and if anybody has hung onto the old school bling.
