My younger brother remembers 2 rides from his young childhood visits to WDW, Figment and Small World.
So, I started to ponder which was the more important ride to keep if one was to be removed (I cannot say changed, because the ride was not changed, it was totally removed as far as I am concerned).
WDW's Small World is already a bare bones version of the fantastic Disneyland version. No outdoor show building. Much shorter. Feels very boxy and closed in.
But, Small World is a nearly untouchable classic. Might be just as important as Dumbo for parents with first timers.
On the other hand, the original Imagination ride was such a deep tapestry of sight and sound. If any Epcot pavillion truly fit its theme correctly, it was this one. They pulled out EVERY trick in the book and mashed it into one ride. This attraction really was both a dream and a nightmare Fantasmic all rolled into one.
Now, turning back time, If you could pick one of these attractions to hold on to and one to let go, which would it be.
Would fans be much more upset about Small World being gone over us fanatics today that think removing Imagination was one of Disney Worlds greatest crimes to date?
