Original ImageWorks/Main St. Theatre

I was just wondering if anyone knew if there are any remains of the original ImageWorks on the second floor of the Imagination Pavilion or the theater where the Mickey Mouse Revue once played. If so, is Disney using them for meetings or something of that nature? I'm just curious.

Thanks,

Well, the Main Street Cinema is now an Art of Disney Store and the theatre where the Mickey Mouse Revue played is now where Mickey's Philharmagic resides. As for the old ImageWorks, the second floor of the Imagination Pavilion is currently being used as storage space. I don't know if they have held any special events there recently, but I think they used that space for that purpose in the past. I do know that almost all of the original exhibits of ImageWorks are intact, such as the Rainbow Corridor, the pin screens, and the Giant Kaleidoscopes.

No, the Mickey Mouse Revue, which was an audio-animatronics show, played in Fantasyland until it closed in 1980. It was replaced by Magic Journeys, followed by the Legend of the Lion King. The Legend of the Lion King closed in 2002 and Mickey's Philharmagic opened in 2003.

You may be thinking of the Walt Disney Story, which was located in Town Square.

One of the two theaters is now used for the new Mickey Meet & Greet, the other is partially being used for the Princess Meet & Greet, but I believe could possibly return to use as a theater, as it wasn't as extensively reconfigured as the Mickey M&G.

Used to love this as a kid. It almost looks the same as it did back in the day. Shame on Disney for letting this area go to waste. Many good memories here upstairs, and not so many in the new "watered down" version downstairs. Props to the guy who actually went up there. Something i've wanted to do for awhile

The upstairs Imageworks is still there but it's rotting away.

Mickey Mouse Revue played in the theater where Mickey's Philharmagic is now. It got replaced by Magic Journeys, then Legend of the Lion King, now it's Mickey's Philharmagic.
