That does throw a wrench in my suggestion :( I would just ask what can't you miss on your visit, and what can wait until next time. I wouldn't want to miss Everest personally, and Pandora, while being a simulator - it is truly breathtaking!
I know Everest will be there next time, but RnR, I fear will be changed soon and that is my second favorite roller coaster in Disney (the first being Space Mountain).

As for Pandora, eh. I can't ride simulators because they make me sick, and that boat ride doesn't look too appealing. Also, I kind of want to hold off on doing new stuff until hubby can come with me. He loves Disney, maybe not as much as I do, but he enjoys nature a lot more.

Then I think HS would be the best bet! At the end of the day, there is no wrong choice at Disney :)

I mean, even just financially speaking, Animal Kingdom is the way to go here. It's a full experience, and you can easily get a whole day's worth of fun out of it. Don't like Pandora? Ignore it entirely, and there's still plenty left to see and do.

Rainforest Cafe shouldn't be a deciding factor, however. There's a (virtually identical) location in Disney Springs.

The only downside I can think of at AK is if you're not the type to enjoy exploring walking trails and exhibits and attractions of that nature. If that's not your thing (and that's okay), then maybe consider going to Hollywood Studios instead.

Yeah, this is more so the things my husband likes to do. Me alone, not so much.

Alright, so I think I am going to go ahead and end the poll.

After reading all of your opinions on which park I should do, I am going to do HS. (Yes! I know totally against what you guys like!)

Now, here me out on this. You have all made great points on why I should do AK, and I hear you. But why do I choose HS you may ask?

Here's why:

D (my hubby) will definitely want to do Pandora after all of your reviews. He loves nature! Nature trails, exploring, etc.! And I want to experience Pandora with him as a new park for both of us.

However, since this is a solo trip for me, I decided HS for my love of the urban settings, classic shows, RnR, Sci Fi, etc. Pretty much, KB is going to go after nostalgia on this trip.:p

You get my drift...I hope.

But again, thanks guys for all your opinions!

If I'm doing a short trip and only have time for 3 parks, DHS is the first one I drop. Sure, there are things I like there, like Star Tours, the Mermaid Show, Midway Mania, the Indy show, and others. But between DHS and DAK, DAK is such an incredible park, with lots of live animal opportunities, Dinosaur, Everest, and that amazing River of Lights show in the evening. Add in a breakfast at the Tusker House and a dinner at Tiffins and you have a really special day!

Good choice.. The Star Wars fireworks show show gives me goosebumps every time! Can't wait to see it again this summer

Tuff one ! HS has a lot of construction going on the last time we were there confusing crowd patterns that led to DEAD ENDS so you had to fight the crowds that did the same thing you just did and retrack your moves. That could be less now since Toy Story Land should be open by Aug. hopefully DEAD ENDS will be alleviated. By next year Star Wars should be done and all the confusion hopefully will be over less the crowds. Long story shorter there should be a little more to do now then last Sept. AK in Aug. will be H:cool:o_O:arghh:OT ! and that is at-testament to the miracle of Disney and where they placed the AK to represent Africa. However there is NO :) construction going on and if you have been to the AK it's mostly the same. The AK would be a good day visit all day, HS could be a short day for you. The good thing is that it appears they are now serving more alcohol in all Parks which I hope isn't a mistake o_O, Good Luck with what ever you choose.

Hey, I'm back in this thread to say...I....changed my mind. I'm going to go with what you guys think I should do.

The reason I ultimately wanted to go with HS in the first place was because I have a fear of them changing RnR here soon as well as getting rid of the Sci-Fi Cafe...and that was it.

But, I just spoke with the hubs and he agrees with the rest of you guys that I am going to get a lot more out of AK than HS.

So, AK it is!
