Going to the world Nov 11-18. 2 adults and 3 kids. I had quite the adventure trying to make my ADRs on the 180th day, but I ended up with everything we wanted basically. I just wanted an opinion on my list of restaurants as several are new to us, and several are repeats but most during the opposite time we usually dine there; ie dinner instead of breakfast or vice versa...

Nov 11 - Shutters (new)

Nov 12 - Chef Mickeys breakfast (first time for breakfast, usually do dinner)

Nov 12 - The Plaza dinner (new)

Nov 13 - Kona Cafe breakfast (one of our favs, repeat!)

Nov 13 - Garden Grill dinner (one of our favs, repeat)

Nov 14 - QS breakfast and lunch, no ADRs

Nov 15 - Yachtmans Steakhouse (new)

Nov 16 - Hollywood and Vine breakfast ( repeat)

Nov 17 - 'Ohana dinner (first time for dinner, usually do breakfast)

So what do you think? Would you change anything? Was thinking of maybe switching for The Wave or Something else???

Please no Biergarten, morocco, or anything at AKL...thanks!

We love the Plaza for lunch. The food is more deli style. Not sure if there menu is dinner themed. If you're wanting to try the Wave, I would switch this meal since you could take the monorail over to the Contemporary from MK. If you don't want to leave the park, I would also recommend the Liberty Tavern since you enjoy the Garden Grill.

Very nice list, other than Shutters I have eaten at all of them and enjoyed my meal except for H&V. It was bad last time I went and I would choose 50's PTC but that is just my opinion. Enjoy!

Can only really comment on the choices that I've experienced before myself:

Chef Mickey's breakfast - Absolutely nothing special there. Run-of-the-mill breakfast buffet. Can take or leave.

Kona Cafe breakfast - Just ok at best. Tried and wasn't impressed with Tonga Toast.

'Ohana dinner - Always HAD been one of my favorites, in part because they had chicken (I don't eat the other stuff) but now that they've taken that off the menu......

Any changes: I'd include Coral Reef, Nine Dragons, and (sorry) Biergarten (we always enjoy it there).

My opinion (and just that, it is an opinon)

Nov 11 - Shutters (new) - I liked it. A solid performer, but nothing stellar. I would eat there again, but would not go out of my way to make it a special trip

Nov 12 - Chef Mickeys breakfast (first time for breakfast, usually do dinner)

Nov 12 - The Plaza dinner (new) - Do you mean the Plaza Restaruant in MK? If so, then it is sandwatches and bugers. Good spot for lunch. I wish they had bathrooms in the restaruant, and not outside, but thats just me.

Nov 13 - Kona Cafe breakfast (one of our favs, repeat!)

Nov 13 - Garden Grill dinner (one of our favs, repeat) - I like it. I have found it to be hit or miss though. Somtimes they do have a bad night it seems. Their flank steak is one of my daughters favorites.

Nov 14 - QS breakfast and lunch, no ADRs

Nov 15 - Yachtmans Steakhouse (new)

Nov 16 - Hollywood and Vine breakfast ( repeat)

Nov 17 - 'Ohana dinner (first time for dinner, usually do breakfast) - Not for me. Overall quality has gone way downhill over the years. Last time we ate there, 2+ years ago or so. My then 14 year old daughter (who used to love it) made the following, unprompted coment "Dad, I don't think we have to come back here anymore.". Maybe it has gotten better in the last few years, but from what I have read, it does not seem so.

Looks good, we have a lot of the same tastes!

We just did Chef Mickey's for breakfast, and it was our favorite character meal that we've ever done. We loved the food, and the character interaction.

Kona for breakfast is one of our faves too, same with Garden Grill.

Hollywood & Vine we did so DD could meet Doc, since she didn't meet anywhere else. She loves Jake & Sofia too, so this was a must. We had no problems with the food, and the experience for her was great.

'Ohana for dinner is our "first night tradition" each time. We've always loved the atmosphere & food there!

I have never been to Shutters, the Steakhouse or the Plaza so I can't comment on those. :)

Yes, we have done Ohana for breakfast always before MK, almost a tradition, but our last visit there in Nov left us a little sour. It was the first time we ever had a bad experience at a wdw restaraunt so we decided to do chef mickeys before MK and finally try Ohana for dinner. We r really excited about it!

Nov 11 - Shutters (new) - Never dined here though if we ever stayed at CBR, I'm sure we would try it.
Nov 12 - Chef Mickeys breakfast (first time for breakfast, usually do dinner) - Love CM for breakfast!
Nov 12 - The Plaza dinner (new) - The Plaza was a pleasant surprise last spring for us and we ate there again in November. I got the cheesburger and it was really good! Everoyne enjoyed their meal there.
Nov 13 - Kona Cafe breakfast (one of our favs, repeat!) - Favorite sit down, non-buffet breakfast place on property! :)
Nov 13 - Garden Grill dinner (one of our favs, repeat) - First time eating here last fall - LOVED it! Definitely a sleeper pick!
Nov 14 - QS breakfast and lunch, no ADRs
Nov 15 - Yachtmans Steakhouse (new) - Never been here but heard good things about the steaks!
Nov 16 - Hollywood and Vine breakfast ( repeat) - Ate here back in 2002 so it was before the Playhouse Disney gang arrive (it was the Fab 5 in Hollywood clothing before that) but it was good. Nothing spectacular but we got to character meals for the characters.
Nov 17 - 'Ohana dinner (first time for dinner, usually do breakfast) - Favorite dinner on property! :)

Great picks!! I would keep them as is if I were you! :)

We were interested in shutters but cbr was so awful, we left there every night until we could sleep. We ended up dining at other resorts every night and sauna was the big hit

I hope so too.. If you've stayed at other mods it didn't compare. I will probably never stay there again because I felt like pop century was a better resort and was cheaper. The other mods definitely have a much better experience to them but of course this is all my own opinion. We did have a great rate from a friend who is a CM so I cannot complain that much but had we paid full price I would have asked to be moved to another resort.

I've never done the breakfast before, but I know how a bad experience can leave you looking for something new. Chef Mickey's was a good choice! We just went last month for the first time, for breakfast, and loved it. We're not usually buffet people, but really like all the options that this one had. The food was refreshed frequently, and we didn't feel rushed with the characters. Have a good time!

This is our first time in a moderate resort. I have stayed in all the All Stars, and several of the deluxe resorts. We let the kids pick where they wante to stay and they chose CBR. They liked the pool and the kid splash area. We have a preffered room booked with a room request for Martinique building 25 or 26.

So here's my 2 cents...
Nov 11 - Shutters-never been, but heard great things
Nov 12 - Chef Mickeys breakfast-never been and probably will end up skipping this one. The birds in the rafters thing kind of freaks me out.
Nov 12 - The Plaza dinner-My friends loved this place, but I've never been.
Nov 13 - Kona Cafe breakfast-I've heard wonderful things and want to try some day.
Nov 13 - Garden Grill dinner- I love Garden Grill!!! And would go back even if it was not rotating.
Nov 14 - QS breakfast and lunch, no ADRs
Nov 15 - Yachtmans Steakhouse-never been, but would love to go
Nov 16 - Hollywood and Vine breakfast-not my favorite place, but the breakfast was decent. The character interaction made up for the food.
Nov 17 - 'Ohana dinner-This is my all time favorite Disney restraurant. Perhaps even my favorite restaurant in the world. The whole family loves it and looks forward to it each trip. I can't wait until October when I get to eat there again!
