Opinions on Bongos in Disney Springs?

I get to book my ADRs tomorrow, so I'm making my final selections. My mom and I have the free dining plan, and when I asked her for recommendations, she seemed really excited about going to Bongos. I think I was there about 10 years ago and don't really remember being all that impressed - does anyone have any opinions?

The other issue is that she really wants to try the paella - it is listed as $75 for 2 people. Does anyone know if that counts as an option on the dining plan, if that is the only entree we order?

No the Paella from what I understand cannot be ordered with the dining plan. It is made to feed 4 so 2 people even if that is both your entree cannot order it. I remember this coming up before for Bongos and the answer was no. So you would have to buy it seperately or just not use the dining plan there and pay OOP.

Thanks! I called today after I read your response, and the person I spoke to said it was fine to use two TSCs for the paella dish, since it was made for two. But just because one person says it doesn't necessarily make it true, lol! I was kind of hoping you were right, because that would be a good reason not to make an ADR. Thew reviews I've read have been mixed - some love it, some are unimpressed. I guess I'll make it, and can always switch it as my trip gets a bit closer.

Thanks for the input, Rob - why risk food poisoning when there are so many other good options, lol! I don't remember being impressed with it when I was there - I think Raglan Road or Morimoto for lunch are higher up on my list.
