Opinion on changing 1900 park fare characters

Ummm, no.

Cinderella still appears at dinner. The Fairy Godmother was never a regularly appearing character dinner character there, and usually only appears now when Lady Tremaine is unavailable.

I thought as much but wasn't certain. The last time we ate dinner at 1900 PF was almost 2 yrs ago and Cinderella, PC, AND Lady T and daughters were ALL there. Don't think I have ever seen the fairy godmother at dinner.

and don't forget the dancing penguins..........

Those would be awesome as well! Really, anything Mary Poppins seems fitting since the meal is named for a MP song and the topiary in the courtyard outside of 1900 PF is of Mary.

We are doing our character dining for my daughter's birthday here since CRT is closed for refurbishment next year so I am glad that you and your daughters have enjoyed your meals at this restaurant. Neither of us have ever interacted with Mary, so we are excited about eating here. I agree, it would be awesome if both Mary and Bert appeared and sang tunes from the movie.

We've enjoyed dinner there as well with Cindy and "friends." Still, I love the breakfast so much that DH and I are going in November for late breakfast (brunch really :) ) without the kids. They have these pecan sticky rolls on the breakfast menu that are drool worthy IMO and there is this dill spread to go with the lox and bagels that is also high on my list of faves. OK- who am I kidding?!!? I really hope the Mad Hatter is in a crazy mood that morning! :hilarious:

I can't begin to count the number of dinners we have had at 1900 Park Fare. Last one was this July. Every time we have gone, it has been Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia, and Drizella. It is the only character meal that our daughter (now 10) still insists on going to every visit. I have opined on numerous pages that this is the best character interaction anywhere at Disney and still feel that very strongly.

On a visit back when our daughter was quite young, she wore a Cinderella costume. The stepsisters both complained to her quite loudly that no kids ever dressed as them. So, the following two years, my wife made her Anastasia and then Drizella costumes to wear. Those visits (and a third holiday visit where she wore BOTH costumes with a mid-meal costume change) are some of our favorite experiences at DW. I hope they keep that group of characters so that generations to come have the chance at similar experiences.

Well, I love meeting Alice and Mary and the Hatter at breakfast. I could accept them ditching Pooh and Tigger, as you can meet them lots of other places. The question is who would be a good replacement that's both popular enough to merit it and thematically appropriate? Actually, now that I think on it, if Prince Charming meets with Cindy at dinner, then Burt the Lovable Chimney Sweep should definitely be meeting with Mary at breakfast.
