In 2000 saw BatB, during the scene where the village is getting ready to fight the beast the villagers had wooden pitchforks for props.
One got to close to Gaston and took his wig off with the pitchfork, next day they had brooms.
That reminds me of the time we accidentally knocked Chuck E Cheese's head off with a Guitar Hero guitar. No kids were around, but it's still funny.

I've always thought this show was pretty terribly myself. While I agree that The Little Mermaid is terrible also, I think BatB is worse. Both shows need major updates

Disney needs to upgrade Beauty and the Beast into a DCA Aladdin/Frozen type show, or bring in a new IP.

I want to say my dad taped every performance of it that we went to, and it's gone down in quality. The first version of it that I saw had a dance number (by life size dancing bats) during 'Kill the Beast'. However, it was also out of order (Be Our Guest used to be the opening number, instead of the Prologue). Belle & Gaston have always seemed to have spotty vocal records, but considering how often they do the show, I can't blame them entirely if they have the occasional bad day.

My family was talking about this last week, and Hunchback of Notre Dame is still our number 1 favorite DHS stage show.

Sigh. So good. :inlove: Sure, it condensed a lot, but at least you can follow the plot.

Little Mermaid could be a lot better, but Disney never seems to know what to do with the 'Ariel gets legs' part. The DHS show basically has a highlight reel of the second act, and the ride only features Kiss the Girl & the finale.

While I haven't seen DHS's Frozen in person, I've watched videos, and it seems to be a permanent temporary fix to the lack of Frozen that Disney had. It's pretty acceptable in the short term, but it's been over 3 years. At this point though, I'm wondering if Disney is just going to wait for Frozen 2 to come out, and then make one jumbo story with the Royal Story Tellers (or whatever their titles are) telling the plots of Frozen 1 & 2 through sing-a-long.
