Does Epcot have an opening ceremony each morning? If so, what time and what is it like?

Opening ceremony at Epcot?

The last time I was there at the opening, I seem to recall the park hours starting at 9 AM. We entered and found ourselves at a rope just past the queue to Spaceship Earth. They told us that SSE would be open immediately and the rest of the park would be open at 9:30. SSE didn't open until 9:30 either. That was when they dropped the rope and we made our way towards Test Track. I think they might hae chosen a family to help them drop the rope, to be honest it's been so long since I was there at opening I don't really remember.

They do have a ceremony, with characters, every morning. There is a countdown to rope drop, and then a stampede to either Test Track/Mission:Space or Soarin'. It's not as nice as the one they had last year (North, South, East, and West all come together as one!), but I love the YOMD music they use now.

When I have been in the past, I have never noticed there being a ceremony, but apparently, from reading above, there is one!
