Oogie Boogie Bash 2025

No exclusive WOC show, which is very dumb imo. I never got why they canned the show after the first year.

People probably just can’t justify the price increase and lack luster offerings. I’m going to MNSSHP but also this will be my last OBB. OBB is a cool event but really the Halloween party needs to return to Disneyland imo

I think before they add WOC they need to make the event at least one hour longer. As it stands at 5 hours it really doesn’t support having a WOC in addition to the parade. 5 hours isn’t enough time to do everything at a comfortable pace with the kids. We skipped about half of the treat trails/ meet n greets, ate dinner at Flo’s, rode 2-3 rides, did Villains Grove and were kind of forced to see the second parade when the kids were already exhausted and falling asleep. I’m ok with missing the meet n greets/ treat trails we didn’t care as much about but I don’t like feeling like I don’t have time to do the stuff I want to do at a comfortable pace or that I missed out on anything. That doesn’t make me want to go back next year. Makes me want to not go back at all.

I get doing Oogie boogie in August if you're from out of town and have no choice but I cant understand why any locals would want to spend the money to attend Oogie Boogie in August or September. I just cant get into the Halloween spirit when its 95 degrees out.
Because it's cheaper. ;)

And we get the season for 2 1/2 months there anyway. By October I'll be sick of Halloween and ready for the two months of Christmas. :p

I'm from the East Coast and used to the August Halloween at WDW. For me Oogie is the better Halloween offering, so I'm glad that it's doable this year for us when we're visiting. Being handed bags of chocolate in the blazing sun will never feel normal, however.

I didn't get why they didn't just tweak Villainous if it got bad reviews. My family went to DL in late 2018 and 2021 but both times the WOC was down. At least this time we can check out the new version on a non-party night.

I thought Villanious was ok and worth seeing, but the shows were dead in 2019. I think a combination of the pandemic, WOC maintenance (WOC has been closed in the fall I believe yearly since 2021) and strong ticket sales has prevented its return.

Perhaps the refurbs for Incredicoaster and RSR are also impacting the sales. Seems insane to pull them both down for weeks at the same time

I'm assuming whatever the "launch cabinet" change is for Incredicoaster is unforseen, but they also put in this permit 2 months ago and decided they weren't going to do the work until late July.

So I guess they determined that they needed the Incredicoasters capacity more from May - late July than August even with RSR down?

I'm hoping this is the kind of thing that can be done in a weekend and they just don't know have an exact end date. But as of now it's showing down through early September as far as the calendar goes. I think they replaced the loop and did other work last year in 10 days total.

I think it is. I can’t imagine they want to have both down simultaneously for an extended time

I wonder if they specifically waited for OOogie Boogie to refurb Incredicoaster? Maybe the figured between the shorter operating hours on select days and that its closure won’t matter as much for people going to the Halloween parties that it was the best move. In general also doesn’t DCA not sell as many tickets on Oogie Boogie days.? Of course it’s also back to school season / dog days of summer and they know it doesn’t really matter to the pass holders.

Other than it being popular unto itself, is the Incredicoaster even a main stay of Oogie Boogie anyways? Honest question as I don't know.

I think more than half the people going to Oogie Boogie don’t care about rides at all. In fact if you want any chance of doing everything I think you pretty much need to skip the rides. Especially with kids.

That's what I figure, mostly everyone is going for Villains Grove I would assume.

Well part of the benefit is that you get in 3 hours before the party for rides. Also, those two rides are in the middle of areas where you go to meet characters and get themed treats, and they absolutely pick off some guests that would otherwise be in line for party stuff. So with there being no WoC on party nights and two major rides down, there will be less to do at the party than there was when it debuted in 2019. But maybe less people will be willing to come and it will balance out.
