Only I Would Think of This

If they did that, you would have to book online 120 days in advance, on a website where all the buttons don't work, select three mandatory fastpasses you don't want, the system will then change them without telling you. You can then spend up to a day at the nearest Guest Relations getting your Magic Band work in the first place and when it comes to charging, you will visit at least three CM's who will each fail to set up the charge account correctly (more time at Guest Relations).

It would be easier and cheaper to throw your clothes away.

If I am not mistaken, you can use your room key on the cruise to do laundry. It would not surprise me if they eventually made this as an option.

If doing so would force Disney to have better laundries I would be all for it. On my trip I had to do a load of laundry at All Star Sports. Why does it have to as sleazy as the one in downtown Altoona? 3 out of 6 machines were broken. All of them were dented and rusted. Worse, there as NO hot water. I tried to tell a maintainence cast member outside about this but he was not very intelligent and there was a language barrier and I had to tell his supervisor through his microphone about I think the pilot light is out in the water heater. Do moderate and deluxe resorts have better laundries? Oh, and this guy I was talking to asked "why do guests need hot water?" I walked away. He was the only rude one I met on the whole vacation by the way.

I'm detecting high levels of sarcasm, and I like it

Unfortunately, a lot of what I said was based on my own experiences in December.
Are you saying that instead of adding another washing machine or two they've instead created this incredibly complex scheduling system to force you to plan your laundry schedule 6 months in advance? Surely such a system would be folly

If it's going to be that complex, I might as well go over to Epcot, wash my clothes in The Living Seas with Nemo and Friends, then take them over to be spin dried at Mission: Space.

Not without a Fastpass you didn't ask for you won't!! Besides everything in Epcot and all washing machines are counted as a single attraction.

God bless the "Ignore" button.
If not for the ridiculous price tag they've already seen, I bet this would be happening soon. Heck, they way they throw money at this project, it may anyways...
I'm not against MBs, in fact, I LOVE the potential they have. What I hate is the price and the way they ruined FP.

During a 10 day holiday I have used the Sports facilities and I hated it. Do not get me wrong I am still a student and use communal laundry on campus but for some reason washing clothes at disney just gives me a headache. Now I just pack for the length of stay plus 2.

....people actually wash clothes at WDW? ....seriously?

Yes, especially on longer trips, pack enough clothes for just more than half the days, then halfway through the trip, take a few hours poolside to relax while the laundry machines are running.

We also have done laundry when we had a WDW stay followed by a DCL cruise, we did laundry the day before we left for the cruise so that almost everything was clean.

It's not, "you can" use your room key, you have to. But I've learned with laundry on the cruise and on property, you'll need two drying cycles if you load it with anything more than three pairs of socks.
