Only Deluxe resorts available for January 2019!

I called Disney last week to book Pop Century (or any value or moderate resort) and they told me they are all booked up for the month and have no availability unless we wanted to book a Deluxe resort!

Do you really think this is the case?

Should I be trying to call again? Should we just wait until the packages are released in June and try to book it ourselves?

I know the packages are not released, we called just to book the room. As we wanted to make sure we could get what we wanted (thinking it was far enough in advance. Apparently nothing is available she checked every week in January and only Deluxe resorts were available to be booked.

If I were you I would wait until July when the package dates are announced. All of the rooms will NOT book up, so there isn't really any point of booking the room now. I always book the day the dates are released and they always have open availability across the board.

It has to be a system glitch due to the free dining coming out.
