:sohappy: We arrive for our very 1st trip this Sunday:sohappy:

It will be my wife, a 12 year old, 9 year old, and myself. We are staying at Pop Century with the Ding Plan. We have made reservations for the Spirit of Aloha show and the Fantasmic Dinner Package. We have the park hopper with the water parks added.

Now - is there anything that we should know about going next week??
Any suggestions on what just should not be missed??

If you haven't done so already buy a guide book (The Unofficial Guide would be my choice) and read it.

You can NEVER plan enough for a WDW vacation and as this is your first there will be so much that you want to see and do. As you're there for a week you need to plan :-
How long at each park (1 day each, 2 days MK & EPCOT/ 1 day MGM & AK)
Are you spending full days at the parks or doing a half day and retiring to the resort
How much time will you take at the water parks (full day / half day and at which one TL, BB or both)
Are you planning on going elsewhere (SeaWorld, Universal)
I've only just begun here :D

Sort out your parks and write down your MUST DO's and your WOULD LIKE TO DO's. From there its down to you.

Have a great trip and tell us all about it when you return

Cool. My husband, 2 yr old son and I are arriving on Sunday, too. We are staying at All Star Movies. This will be my son's first trip.

The only thing I could think of is that it rains normally everday in Florida. Don't let it scare you away. It is a great time to catch a popular ride or you could grab a bite to eat. It normally only lasts about 10 minutes.

I know it will be hard to do this because you are going to be so excited to see everything but, take a break in the afternoon. When we go we usually take a break around 12-3 because that is when the sun is hottest (or so we heard). We go back to the resort and take a nap or go swimming, see a movie...just something to get out of the parks for a little while. It gives your feet a chance to rest too. You will be so much more ready for the evening if you take a break in the afternoon. I hope you have a fantastic time!!!! My brother and I are going to be checking into the Pop Century May 15~ I cannot wait!!!

Don't try to do it all, but plan ahead of time for those things that you definitely don't want to miss. It's pretty hot now there, so drink plenty of water, and be sure to take a mid-afternoon break to relax at the pool or take a quick nap.

Have a magical trip!

Im arriving on saturday to the all star movies! Seems like a lot of us are going to be there next week! Is this an overly busy time of the year??

Hello all...I am arriving on Friday!!! Contemporary Resort...the best advice I give u is dont plan on what u want to do. Go with the flow!!!!

I will be there on the 9th. Just look for the guy with a big smile, and you will find mr. friendly! Remember to have a good time. I see so many people who foreget to do this. If you start running around getting into a big hurry and yelling at people just remember mr friendly's advice.:)

:wave: Just a quick note about Pop Century. Be sure and buy the re-fillable mugs. They have slushes available all the time. Yum. Really wonderful for hot days!! Drink lots of water. pace yourselves and have a magical stay.:sohappy:

I'm arriving on Thursday and will be staying at Pop Century as well. My parents and the rest of my family arrive over the weekend so we can celebrate their 40th anniversary. We're also doing Spirit of Aloha. We'll be in the 8 p.m. show on Wed. My parents always wanted us kids to send them to Hawaii so we're treating them to the next best thing.

We are arriving on Sunday as well. Staying at Coronado Springs, I cannot wait. We are still deciding on if we are going to go to the Magic Kingdom or just hang out at the pool. Hope we all have a blast. :wave:
