WDW Trip Calculator:
Found at:
http://www.stormshome.com/john/funkyjohn/wdwplanning/
This calculator will determine based on the dates of your stay:
* Parks for Extra Magic Hour (Early Entry)
* Give priority seating options based on hotel and park
* When to call for Priority Seatings (day by day)
* Give information about common shows & parades
* How many days until your trip & how many days you are staying

I've been fiddling with some online scripts and I think they're in a state that they are ready to be shared.

Essentially, I've taken the idea of a priority seating calculator one step further to also take into account extra magic hour (parks doing early entry), and some of the parades and shows. It also takes into account what resort you're staying at. I'm thinking of hooking it into the park hours, special events, and other stuff too.

Example output:

Your WDW Vacation is 105 days away!
Days at WDW: 5 days

Restriction List Calculator

Attraction Restriction Calculator:
Found at:
http://www.stormshome.com/john/funkyjohn/wdwplanning/
This tool takes information about the guest and then shows what attractions and activities to avoid. It also shows you how many more inches to grow or how many more years to wait. This is probably most useful for people with kids and for ladies that are pregnant to see what you can't ride.

The online tool takes information like age, height, age, and a checklist of other stuff to determine what attractions and activities you might avoid.

And because I too have a shorty-kid, I've included a child height calculator and growth charts to help you figure out if your kid is going to grow enough for your vacation.

Example Output:

That's kind of nifty, but the suggested restaurants....it doesn't always match the EMH park or have any sort of rhyme or reason to it, or so it seems. It could really confuse a newbie that doesn't realize what restaurants are found in which park.

Just a thought, otherwise, I think it's very cool. Maggie

Bug Fixed

A few observant folks found a bug in the script where it was picking the wrong park for Extra Magic Hour and picking the wrong restaurants.

This is now fixed and running fine.

What happened is I was keying the EMH park off of the 90-day advance date vs the real date. I appreciate all the free Beta testing :)

Keep the feedback coming, I'm having lots of fun with this.

Very cool except you have to know that some people(including myself) don't necessarily want to go to the parks that have Extra Magic Hour, so you might want to include something where you can just look at each parks info.

I think this is a great tool - but I agree with the statement above. Hubby and I generally avoid the early entrance parks because they tend to be more crowded on those days. Other than that, I think it's great! Nice job!!

There are many times you want to avoid the early entry park, especially if you are staying off site or park hopping for the afternoon, or if you are a late riser.

This is the first cut of this tool. I'm planning to add many more options in the future.

Keep the feedback coming.
