Online Reservation Times

Ok, so tomorrow is our 180 window beginning. I recently switched us from October 4-11th to September 20-27th. The lady on the phone said that I would be able to start making online reservations beginning right after midnight. I was under the impression that you had to wait until 6 or 7am EST. Can anyone clarify this?

I thought you could make online reservations anytime regardless of operational hours because it is automated. It only cares about dates, not times.

I ended up calling. The online part is a joke now. It would bring up the 180 + 10 days on the calendar but it would show no availability for ANY of the days/times I tried. I spent 30 minutes on hold but I was able to get everything I wanted at the times I wanted, even BoG dinner on the 22nd.

I changed our dates in anticipation of possible Free Dining. I figure that if they're cutting the dates of FD, then September is a sure bet against October.

True. We missed FD several trips because of this date cut off. I doubt they are giving it out again, but I will keep my fingers crossed for you. ;)

Yeah, if not then we're just going to cancel the package an stay offsite and maybe pay for 1 or 2 TS's and just eat a few CS's.

That's what we did. Not cancel the trip, but we have opted to forgo all TS option (except two must do's) and go all QS this next trip since we will likely not get the FreeDDP. However, if it is offered during our trip I will jump on it in a heartbeat.

On the other side of that coin, if it is offered it will probably keep the crowds increased as it has in the past so it might not be the deal I had hoped for in the end. :(

That's exactly what we did and are hoping for. It feels like we are waiting later this year to hear possible fall dates. I'm starting to get nervous. We've never gone without the free dining, so it would be a big change for our family. On a side note, (I trust your opinion as I usually agree with all your posts), what would be your pick between Pop, CBR or another moderate (not Riverside as we'll be doing that a lot when our 3rd kid is over 3)?
