Online Registration fast approaching...

In the past I have read about people having issues with requests. Your best bet is to call regarding those requests so they are on your reservation. One thing about online check-in. If you have only been to Disney a couple of times or have questions, don't do online check-in. Go through the regular line and ask your questions. If you're a Disney veteran and know what you are doing or going, do online check-in, get your pamphlet and right to the fun.

Definitely call and get your specific request on your reservation as well as a backup request in case they are not able to honor your first request. I have also called about 2 weeks out to confirm my request was actually showing up on my reservation. I think you and I are doing our online check-in on the same day! I will probably wait until I get into work around 8:30 to take care of mine.

Another vote for handing room requests by phone...and you can take care of that now...no need to wait. Curious...what all are you requesting? I know when we stayed CR-GW mine were ground floor and water view. I've heard it's easier for them to accomodate the water view on the deluxe rooms, but of course you're also farther from the tower...although I really don't think the distance is a huge deal. :)

Now a stupid ?- I'm sure it changed and I just wasn't paying attention, but I'm guessing the online check in window changed? I see on the website that it's 60 days...so I guess I just answered my own ?, but I swear it was 10-days out our last few trips. I really need to pay more attention to things. :D

I wanna say that is what it was in 2011, ten days out. But my memory stinks. I want to request a ground floor with a patio and close to the beaches. Not sure what else to request. No one on here seems to have stayed in the deluxe garden wing rooms.

A couple of questions. We are at 73 days (Woo Hoo!) and I have seen on here that you can do online registration at 60 days out. Curious if it is at a particular time. Also, if we have requests for rooms can you do that online? I did online last trip but did it like the day before we left.

I was not able to choose a room. There is a spot for categories like lower floor, etc. but I tried several times and it never allowed me to do it. And since there are issues, I don't trust it so I still wiwill ll make the request upon booking and then call two weeks prior to arrive to the confirm request and ask again at check in.

I'm pretty sure it was still 10 days when we went last December. I certainly wouldn't swear to that!

A warning about the 60 day check-in...I checked in at day 52 for our June 5th arrival at POFQ. Upon our arrival, I went to the online check-in desk. My information was not there and the CM insisted that I did not do online check-in. Fortunately, there were no other guests checking in so I did not have to wait in the regular line, though did have to go to another CM for check-in.

I had never had any issues with the 10 day check-in. Can't see the benefit in doing it earlier than that, especially since my info apparently got lost!

Yep, we went in November and it was still a 10 day early check in. I wouldn't have known about the 60 day change if I hadn't read it here. I don't see any benefit to the change for us. But I guess it may make it easier for CM's? Like planning the seating chart for a wedding. It's better to know a month out who is coming?
