Online collaboration for WDW trip?

I apologize if this has already been covered (I searched and came up empty) but . . .

My family is in the very early stages of planning a WDW trip with friends who live several states away. Because of the distance, it will be nearly impossible to discuss things with them face-to-face and - to me anyway - making plans of this scale over the phone leaves a lot to be desired. Is there a (free) website where two families can collaborate on a WDW trip? We would be acting as their "tour guide" since they are first-timers and we would like to be able to share photos, links, comments, etc. with them. The site wouldn't have to be Disney-related, just free and easy to use. I remember the Magical Gatherings application that Disney came out with, then discontinued a few years ago - that would have been almost exactly what I need.
Any suggestions?

It's funny you mention this...

Google *just* came out with Google Wave. I haven't looked into it too much yet, but it promises to allow users to "Communicate and collaborate in real time"

Here's what is says on their site:
"Google Wave is an online tool for real-time communication and collaboration. A wave can be both a conversation and a document where people can discuss and work together using richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more."

It's only in limited previews at the moment, and to get in on the preview you need to be invited. But it might be worth looking into: http://wave.google.com

Not old, just vintage.
I also recommend Google Groups for this. I have been using Google Wave recently, but it still very slow and a little unstable since it is still in previews.

I've got some Google Wave invites if you're interested, but it is still a bit slow. I can't wait til they get it all up and running, it should be fun.

So far, it looks like Google Groups is the way to go. However, I requested an invitation for Google Wave. Since this trip is still waaaay off, maybe they'll have GW running perfectly by the time we start planning in earnest.

Any other suggestions?
