From everything I have been told your check in time has little to do with your room requests. Rooms are typically assigned a few days prior to your actual check in date.So you are saying checking in early in the day does not make it more likely that you will get your room request? I always assumed that someone who checked in at 1pm was more likely to get a preferred room than the person who checked in at 10pm that night.
Technically yes. If every singe room at the resort was occupied , then there is nothing that they could do to accommodation a request or change. However, that situation rarely occurs outside of holiday season and/or at Disney's most popular resorts. Disney resorts average somewhere in the mid 80% of capacity. Even in times of near 100% occupancy, it is not uncommon a few rooms to be left empty in case there is a problem with one of the rooms currently being used.So for someone to request a change of room, the resort would have to be at less than capacity? Otherwise every room would already be assigned.
Nothing is guaranteed but I have found that online check in has drastically increased the rate at which my rooms have been ready prior to 3:00 PM. We also rarely make room requests which does not hurt either. We are staying at the WL in September and our flight gets in at 10:00. I'm figuring that I won't get to WL until about 11. If I do online check in prior to going, what are the chances that the room will be ready when I get there?
